THE PINBALLS Goes from One to a Million with Upcoming Album!

Four-member rock band THE PINBALLS announced that they will be releasing a brand-new album, millions of oblivion on December 16. This will be the latest album by the group since 時の肋骨 (Toki no Rokkotsu) back in November of 2018 and will be their second major-label album overall. Going off the theme of “Life and Death,” the album will release with ten tracks total and will include recently released songs “Broadway” and “Needle Note.” The album will drop in three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD+Blu-ray limited edition, and a CD+Blu-ray special edition. The special edition will also include a 64-page poetry book, while the Blu-ray for both the special and limited editions will include footage from their acoustic live session, “Dress up 2 You”, that took place at Motion Blue YOKOHAMA on October 3rd.

SPEED Brings Music Box Full of Memories!

Popular Japanese girl group and industry staple SPEED are celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a special box set. Titled SPEED MUSIC BOX -ALL THE MEMORIES-, the boxset will be released on January 13, 2021! SPEED debuted in 1996 with their single “Body & Soul” and have earned many awards over the years, such as New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year, just to name a few. SPEED did disband in 2000 and went on to concentrate on their solo careers, reuniting occasionally over the years, such as 2001 and 2003, to release new material. In 2008, they got back together and released new material, however, in 2012 they once again disbanded. Arakaki Hitoe left the group and did not renew her contract after their disbandment in 2012.

On SPEED’s official website, a Teaser was posted on October 6 with the taglines “25th Anniversary” “SPECIAL RELEASE” and “Wait a moment until 10:00 JST October 13th”, hinting at the box set. On October 13th, an announcement was revealed that there will be a special box set release containing all the original recordings of SPEED’s singles and albums in a set of 8 CDs, all in a collaboration with the labels TOY’S FACTORY, avex trax, and Rising Production. SPEED’s unreleased song, “Affection,” will also be included in this must have release.

SPEED MUSIC BOX -ALL THE MEMORIES- will release in one edition that will include 8CDs+Blu-ray+2Blu-ray Audio and is a Limited Edition. The 8CDs, as said above, will contain original recordings of all their tracks and will include on unreleased song. The Blu-ray will contain unreleased live footage of their 「Final Summer Dream Stage in 千葉マリンスタジアム(Chiba Marine Stadium)」from 1999 that was held at Chiba Marine Stadium, now known as ZOZO Marine Stadium. The 2Blu-ray Audio will include all tracks in the highest resolution sound possible. It will also come with a visual book that will include treasured and unreleased photos of SPEED. All these discs will come housed in a special commemorative box.

To commemorate this release, a special website has opened that includes messages from SPEED fans, such as producer Hiromasa Ijichi, Hideyuki Nakayama, Noritoshi Furuichi, Airi Suzuki, and LiSA - just to name a few. sumika Plants Their Third Music Tree

Rock band sumika has announced they will be dropping a collection of music videos titled Music Video Tree Vol.3 which is set to be released on December 9. This will be a follow-up from their previous releases, Music Video Tree Vol.1 and Music Video Tree Vol.2. 

Music Video Tree Vol.3 is being released in two editions total: a DVD edition, and a Blu-ray edition. Some of the songs featured will be “Equal,” "Traveling," "Negai," "Higher Ground," "End roll," and “Zekkyo Serenade.” Pre-orders are up and posted below along with the full track-listing posted at the bottom of the page. WANIMA Brings the Cheddar Flavor to LIFE with Latest Music Videos!

Three-member rock band WANIMA released a snippet music video for their tracks “LIFE” and “Cheddar Flavor” on their YouTube channel. Originally a part of the mini-album, Cheddar Flavor, that was a surprise release back in September 23, both tracks go all out and crank the energy to 11. Released with nine tracks total, the mini-album was the latest release from the band since “Milk” back in June and is their second mini-album overall. The music video released this time is a video work that connects the two songs, "LIFE" shows the members standing on the streets of Shibuya, and "Cheddar Flavor" shows footage of past live houses, rock festivals, and concert footage from Saitama Super Arena.

MaRuRi to Ryuga Awaken in New Music Video!

Popular duo and music corner alumni, MaRuRi to Ryuga have released their music video for “Mezame,” which is the leading track for their third mini album, Aratamemashite, that released on October 21. “Mezame” was composed by MaRuRi herself and depicts a girl’s swaying love. The music video shows a girl, played by MaRuRi, who is expressing her feelings for her favorite person but her uneasy feelings could destroy the happiness, by the facial expressions and gestures during the situation. “Mezame” is a beautiful track and MaRuRi’s vocals shine in this ballad.

Aratamemashite released in two editions: a CD+DVD limited edition and a CD-only standard edition. You can check out the track listing and more information on the release of Aratamemashite here.
