King & Prince Announces New Single!

Popular maie idol group King & Prince announce the news of their upcoming third single tilted, “君を待ってる” (“Kimi wo Matteru”), set to release on March 20. Deciding  on the theme of “Wanting to change yourself”, King & Prince are weaving the narrative by listing to “Kimi wo Matteru” that through their energetic music and inspiring message it will encourage people to take that first step forward. 

“Kimi wo Matteru” will release with two limited edition and one regular edition version of the single. With Type A including a DVD copy of the music video and making of “Kimi wo Matteru”. While Type B will include a DVD copy of the next episode of the ever popular segment King & Prince TV #2. Lastly while the regular edition will not release with another disk, it will include two new songs that Type A or Type B will not release with.

Yui Ogura Teases Her Lastest Song For Her Upcoming Album!

Popular voice actress turned singer Yui Ogura uploaded a preview of her latest song, “君が好きです” (“Kimi ga Sukidesu”), on her official YouTube channel. “Kimi ga Sukidesu” will be apart of Ogura’s upcoming third album, Hop Skip Apple, set to release on February 20. Hop Skip Apple will release with thirteen track total, with a limited edition version of the album to include a Blu-ray or DVD copy of music videos or dance version of songs off the album.

The preview shows Ogura trying on several outfits while showing off her cute yet adult side, a major theme for Hop Skip Apple. Check out the preview to “Kimi ga Sukidesu” here

EXID Brings Trouble To Japan

Korean Girl Group EXID has announced that they are releasing their first Japanese album titled Trouble, which will be released this April. TROUBLE will contain a total of ten tracks total with the first five tracks being original songs for their Japanese audience with the remaining tracks being Japanese covers of songs already released.

The title track in question, TROUBLE, is composed by m-flo’s Taku Takahashi. m-flo is a hip-hop trio who has been in the Japanese music industry for over 20 years.

Upon release there will be two version of the album released. One version will be a Regular Edition which will only be a CD but com with a bonus track titled I LOVE YOU. The second version will be a Limited Edition which will be the base CD but also come with a DVD that has the music video and making of video for TROUBLE; also the music video for the song VAPORIZE YOURSELF! will be on the DVD.

Polkadot Stingray Brings Back A Fan Favorite Segment For Their Upcoming Album!

Four-member rock band Polkadot Stingray is set to release their second album, 有頂天 (Uchoten), on February 2. With this exciting news they had also announced the return of the band’s “Makerarenai Tatakai” segment which will be included in the limited edition copies of Uchoten.

Titled “Makerarenai Tatakai 2” this 75min long segment Polkadot’s band members compete in various task that their fans via Twitter gave them to do such as “Best Cosplay” or the “Fastest Eating A Banana”. (Which you can preview here)

Yurina Hirate To Make A Record Breaking Comeback!

In December of 2018 management for the super girl idol group Keyakizaka46 announced that their leading star Yurina Hirate would have to take a leave of absence due to medical reasons. Well little over a month later and Keyakizaka 46 has announced the title of their upcoming single titled ”黒い羊”(”Kuroi Hitsuji”), set to release on February 27. Along with that announcement it was also revealed that Yurina Hirate would return to being the center for this upcoming single. This makes her the center for Keyakizaka46’s eighth single in a row. Currently Yurina Hirate is the only member under Akimoto’s brand to hold the center position in such a high consecutive amount.
