Keyakizaka46 Announce Their Final Performance

The mega-idol group Keyakizaka46 came out on September 20 and announced they will be ending their activity under the name Keyakizaka46 and will start working under a brand-new name, Sakurazaka46. The new name will officially go into effect on October 14, however, the group has revealed that on October 17 they will be appearing on the television program SONGS in which should be their final outing under their old moniker of Keyakizaka46.

Back in January of this year, there was a surprise announcement that their lead performer, Hirate Yurina, was no longer with the group, effective immediately, and two other members announced they would be graduating in March. Since then, the group has kept silent, leaving fans to speculate what the future of the group will look like. We here at Ongaku To You wish Sakurazaka46 the best of luck. 

Keyakizaka46 Show Us the Links That Binds with Upcoming Best of Album!

Popular idol group Keyakizaka46 has divulged more information about their upcoming best-of album, 永遠より長い一瞬 ～あの頃、確かに存在した私たち～ (Eien Mori Nagai Isshun ~Anogoro, Tashikani Sonzaishita Watashitachi~). Releasing on October 7th, this will be the final release of Keyakizaki46 before their last concerts the following week on the 12th and 13th. 

Wrapping up five years of work, the best-of album will release with seventeen tracks total and will come in three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions, both of which are CD+Blu-ray and are simply called Type A and Type B. The second disk will include additional B-side tracks and the Blu-ray “Director’s Cut Collection” of several of their previous lives.

Nanako Nagasawa Announces Graduation From Keyakizaka46

Keyakizaka46’s Nanako Nagasawa announced she will be graduating March 31. Nanako was part of the first generation of the group and had been with the group since they debuted back in 2015. The announcement came via the group’s official website and Nagasawa herself went on her private blog to confirm the news, stating, “I want to take the first step toward my dream before my twenty-third birthday.” She would go on to state that, “I’m very lonely since I’ll be leaving Keyakizaka46 and I can’t meet the fans… but I’ll do my best to meet you again!” We at Ongaku to You wish Nagasawa the best in her future endeavors.

Keyakizaka46 Has Major Shakeup

It was revealed that there are big changes on the way for popular idol group Keyakizaka46. The long-time center and face of the group, Yurina Hirate, has officially resigned. It was revealed last year that Yurina would be serving as the center for their upcoming ninth single but now she will no longer be serving as the center for this song. This makes the new song the very first one since Keyakizaka46’s debut during which Yurina will not be serving as the center of the lead song on the single. With this it was also revealed that both Oda Nana and Suzumoto Miyu would be leaving the group as well. The upcoming ninth single has officially been postponed and it has yet to be revealed when it’ll be coming out. We wish everyone here the best in their future endeavors.

Yurina Hirate continues her astronomical record with Keyakizaka46's newest single!

Ultra-popular idol group Keyakizaka46 announced that they will be releasing their ninth single. This will be the group’s latest single since ”黒い羊” (“Kuroi Hitsuji”) back in February. Not much is known about the single except that, once again, Yurina Hirate will be dawning the center stage. This will be her ninth consecutive time doing so, continuing her more impressive feat in the Sakamichi Group. Unfortunately no pre-order links are available at this time, but if it’s anything like previous 46 releases it will be released through five editions. In the meantime, as we anticipate this, check out the group’s latest music video for “Kuroi Hitsuji” below!
