Arashi Announces Suspension Of All Activities In 2020!

Popular male idol group Arashi announce on their Johnny’s Fan Club site that Arashi will be suspending all activities at the end of 2020. In the fan club site all five member thanked all the fans for all the support. 

The members will also be having an official press conference later on today (January 27)

After the major news of Arashi will be heading in to hiatus the one question that everyone had in mind is are they disbanding? After a major entertainment shifting presser, that question was quelled. Member Jun Matsumoto immediately responded “No, we’re not disbanding.” Other members chimed in with that “this is a new challenge for all us” and “Arashi is all five of us and that will always continue to be”.
Leader Satoshi Ohno originally brought up the hiatus to the other members back in June 2017 and obviously shocked they understood with a decision be decided in June of 2018. Ohno stated in the presser that “he has no specific plans on what he wats to do and that he just want to try living a free lifestyle for once away from the entertainment world, and try things that he never done before, living a normal life.”

Other member Kazunari Ninomiya stated “not to blame Ohno for this. When everyone is willing to work, they will come together. but if there’s a time when someone doesn’t want to, they will talk and try to come to an understanding.”

Other major questions throughout the presser was roughly how long this hiatus will be “Ohno stated that he really doesn’t know/ thought about it however he love that the other members can laugh with him about this and that they understand how major of an announcement this is to him.”

NMB48 Revitalized Their Dance Moves In Their Latest Music Video!

Super idol group NMB48 dropped the music video for their upcoming single, “床の間正座娘” (“Tokonoma Seiza Musume”), on YouTube. The single being released on February 20, “Tokonama” will be NMB48’s 20th single overall. With it being a monumental achievement, the group plays homage the their first single, “絶滅黒髪少女” (“Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shojo”), in their opening scene call it a return of form and a way to say thank you for the former members that had paved the way for the current members now.

The MV is Directed by Tada Takuya with choreographed by CRE8BOY, who had also choreographed “ワロタピーポー”(“Warota People”).

Aimer Announce Two New Albums!

Coming off the heels of her latest Oricon topping hit vocalist Aimer announced that she’ll be having two new albums Sun Dance and Penny Rain, set to release on April 10.  This news come out of Osaka’s Festival Hall during the finale of Aimer’s Hall Tour 18/19 "soleil et pluie”, and will the latest full album release since Aimer’s album daydream  back in September of 2016. 

Aimer stated that the Sundance having the theme of the Sun with it having a more of a dancing and uplifting composition and melody, songs like ONE and  “花びらたちのマーチ” (“Hanabiratachi no March”). While Penny Rain having the theme of the rain will have a more somber ballads composition such as “I beg you” and “Ref:rain”. 

Each album will have a limited edition version which will include a Blu-ray or DVD copy of the music videos of the song of each respective album.

Daichi Miura's Royal Masterpiece!

Vocalist Daichi Miura will have the honor in performing on a once in lifetime project on February 24th titled “Utagoe no Hibiki” . In celebration of Emperor Akihito reign for 30 years there will be an event on the 24th that honors the royal family. As part of the celebration Daichi Miura has been chosen to sing a song that was written by the Emperor Akihito himself, and composed by his wife Empress Michiko.

Both Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko have a minor background in music with Emperor Akihito an experience cello player while Empress Michiko is a gifted piano player.

It is currently unknown that the song will actually physical release to the public but we’re hoping that it will!

SCANDAL Releases Information On Their Upcoming Single From Their Private Label!

Four-member rock band SCANDAL announced their newest single, “Masterpiece/ まばたき(Mabataki)”, being released on March 27. This will be Scandal’s first single with their private label ,her , and will be a double A-side.

SCANDAL is hoping to make a new high standard with a positive rock tune with the song  “Masterpiece” and had actually preformed the song back in November during their “SCANDAL TOUR 2018 Kansha Matsuri” stating that this song is simply a masterpiece.

The single will release with three different editions, with two limited edition which will sell with a 36 page magazine entitled ”her” Magazine and a special edition T-Shirt design by Q-TA label of the cover of the single shown to the right.
