Aira Yuuki release two tracks from her upcoming mini-album!

Popular anime song and video game singer and lyricist Aira Yuuki, has announced that "Violet Snow", a self-cover version of the insert song was first appeared in a promotional commercial for the Netflix-based Japanese anime Violet Evergarden, is now released on all streaming platforms (including Spotify and Apple Music) world-wide from February 21. The song is one of the lead songs from her new upcoming mini-album Leading role which will be released on March 25. The mini-album will drop with seven track total and will include the hit track ”Donna Hoshizora Yori mo, Donna Omoide Yori mo" the ending theme song from the TV anime A Sister's All You Need which has also been released on all music streaming platforms.

For listeners new to Yuuki’s works  she had debuted with “colorless wind,” back in 2007 which was used as the opening theme song for the anime series, sola. Many of her songs are used for many anime series and video games with her beautiful voice since her debut. She performed the ending songs for Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which is a remake of a classic anime title, Space Battleship Yamato in 2012, and the OVA, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE: Memory of Eden in 2013. She is a popular anime song singer, and she has been invited to numerous events both domestically and internationally.

Aira has released thirteen singles, three original albums, and  a 10th anniversary best album so far. Since her work expanded as a lyricist in 2015, she has written for lots of well-known anime songs and character songs. A voice actress idol unit, NOW ON AIR is also produced by her since 2018.

Fans of Yuuki can enjoy all twenty singles and albums including her major debut song, “colorless wind” from the anime sola to the latest single, "Donna Hoshizora Yori mo, Donna Omoide Yori mo."

i☆Ris Invites Fans to Celebrate With Them With Brand New Album!

Six-member idol group i☆Ris announced that they will be dropping a brand new album, Shall we☆Carnival, March 13. This will be the latest release from the group since “FANTASTIC ILLUSION”  back in August of last year and will be their fourth album overall. Holding onto the theme of a carnival, i☆Ris hopes to celebrate their eighth year of being in the Japanese music industry through a huge festival of sorts with all of their members and fans.

Shall we☆Carnival will be released with eleven tracks total and three editions including a CD-only standard edition and two CD + Blu-ray limited editions. Not much is different about the two limited editions except the fact that one will also include a photo book. Unfortunately there are no pre-order links at the time of reporting however we shall update you guys when it does!

Aika Kobayashi Shows Fans A New Code with Debut Single

Popular voice actress-turned-vocalist Aika Kobayashi divulged more information about her solo debut single “NO LIFE CODE”.  Available now, “NO LIFE CODE” is written and composed by Q-MHz, and is a high energy rock tune and somewhat of a different style compared to her usual idol composed songs from Aqours.

The single contains six tracks and is released under two editions; a CD-only standard edition, and a CD+DVD limited edition. Both include an exclusive photo card, while the limited editions include the music video for “NO LIFE CODE” along with a Making-of Featurette .

Sae Otsuka Voyages to a New Solo Career with Debut Mini-album!

Popular voice actress Sae Otsuka released the music video for her track “ぬか漬け” (“Nekazuke”) on Avex’s official YouTube channel. One of the lead tracks for Otsuka’s solo debut mini-album Avant Title, available now, Otsuka looks to break the mold from the usual voice actress-turned-vocalist trend. Otsuka, who is famously known for her role as Tae Hanazono in the multimedia franchise BanG Dream, does indeed break her image and show a more passionately vocal side of herself with “Nekazuke”. 

Avant Title includes six track total, all which are written and composed by Otsuka herself. The album is now available under three editions; a CD-only standard edition and two CD + Blu-ray limited editions. Not much is different with the limited editions except one Blu-ray edition includes several music videos, with the other including footage of her BIRTHDAY LIVE～SAEchism!～ which took place at the famed Yokohama Bay Hall last year along with a photo book.

Music Corner 38: Sorane

Sorane is a rapper who burst on tothe scene back in 2018 and, while young at the time of this writing, is changing the game in the rap genre in Japan. With his more urban yet modern style of lyrical compositions, Sorane has garnered major attention with the younger generation.

While several artists of similar genre we covered in the past might take a slower and more fluid composition with their tracks, Sorane cranks that speed tenfold with impressive rap skills and doesn’t let up. “Hug”, “yummy”, and “Mr.mind” are just some of the tracks that show off his lyrical speed. When Sorane does bring that speed down a notch, the style also changes as he brings a more urban style of lyrical compositions like with “planet tree”; Sorane just brings the listeners down a notch as well, down to that relaxing composition, just making them feel the music a tad more than in his other track.

While still having a rather young career compared to other Music Corner artists, Sorane has several singles under belt which he released throughout 2019.
