Koda Kumi Bringing Special Re(LEASES) to Fans!

Koda Kumi, Japanese pop singer-songwriter and major staple in the Japanese music industry, is bringing fans a special treat with three new releases which will be hitting stores March 11! These three releases are hot on the tail of her latest album re(CORD) which came out last November 13 and consist of two Blu-ray/DVD concerts and a remix album!! The two Blu-ray concerts are from her Live Tour 2019 re(LIVE) tour which showcased popular numbers from her previous tours of Black Cherry (2007) and JAPONESQUE (2013) and include some of her newest hits from her latest album re(CORD such as “GOLDFINGER 2019” and “Eh Yo”! Each Blu-ray/DVD will consist of 21 tracks in total. Koda Kumi will also be dropping her latest remix album, entitled re(MIX), on the same day. This comes about a year after Driving Hit’s 9 -Special Edition- hit stores.

Koda Kumi LIVE TOUR 2019 re(LIVE) -Black Cherry- and Koda Kumi LIVE TOUR 2019 re(LIVE) -JAPONESQUE- will both come in two editions, a Blu-ray and a DVD version. There will also be a special FanClub edition for members which will include three DVDs consisting of both the Black Cherry and JAPONESQUE tours along with a special documentary movie and three never before released music videos with special packaging! Koda Kumi re(MIX) will consist of remixed songs from her latest album re(CORD) and will come in a CD-only format. AAA Takes 2020 Off

Dance unit AAA revealed they are suspending all activities for 2020. The announcement came via the group’s official website and goes on to talk about how the group has been having this discussion on and off since 2016, and now that each member has reached their thirties they are wanting time to explore and take their own path in 2020, which is also the group’s fifteenth anniversary. The good news is that at the end of the year AAA will come back for a dome tour titled AAA DOME TOUR 2020 which will be in November and December. The full schedule will be posted below. Brian the Sun Crosses the Pacific to Perform at Kawaii Kon!

Four-member rock band Brian the Sun announced that they will be going to this year’s Kawaii Kon in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii in May. This will be the second consecutive year the band will venture internationally after visiting A-kon last year. Famous for theme songs for the popular anime BORUTO NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS and My Hero Academia, Brian the Sun promises to give fans a performance of a lifetime. The band will also release a new mini-album, orbit, February 26; several tracks from the album may be debuted during their live.

BiSH Launches Own YouTube Page

Alternative idol group BiSH launched its own YouTube channel January 13. To commemorate the launch of the channel a documentary titled GRUNGE WORLD was posted to the page which chronicles the group’s work. The channel has all the music videos that were already on avex’s channel, plus BiSH posted an opening video of their one-man live, TO THE END, which was at Kanagawa and Yokohama Arena in May of 2018. SCANDAL Tells Fans Meaning of A.M.D.K.J in Latest Video!

Popular Japanese pop rock girl band SCANDAL released their latest music video and tenth digital single on January 8 called “A.M.D.K.J.” to promote their newest album Kiss from the darkness which is set to be released February 12! “A.M.D.K.J” is currently being used as the ending theme song to the popular anime Gegege no Kitaro which is airing on Fuji TV. In “A.M.D.K.J” fans get to experience the lovely ladies in their element rocking out in a simplistic yet fun promotional video so check it out below!!
