King Gnu is celebrating with third album

Four-member mix band King Gnu announced they will be dropping their third album titled Ceremony January 15. This is the first release since King Gnu’s second album Sympa which was released earlier this year on January 16. The album will include previously released digital tracks “白日” (“Hyakujitsu”) and ” 飛行艇” (“Hikouki”) along with upcoming track “Teenage Forever” set to drop December 20 and will include twelve tracks total.

Ceremony will be released in two editions, a standard edition which will be CD-only and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will feature their concert held April 12, 2019 at Shin Kiba STUDIO COAST. Check out the music video for their hit track “Hyakujitsu” along with the pre-order link for Ceremony below.

After getting down, w-inds hope to continue the momentum with new single!

After the success of their latest single “Get Down”, popular three-member vocal dance group w-inds announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “DoU”, January 22. The announcement came from w-inds’ “Future/Past” live tour that took place in Shanghai this past weekend. Keita Tachibana will be not only writing and composing the track but also producing. He says that the track will be one “men and women will break out dancing and singing along to”.

The single will also include a pop track titled “CANDY” and, along with instrumentals, will feature four tracks total. “DoU” will also drop two editions including a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. While the limited edition will include the music video of “DoU” and a making-of documentary the standard edition will include an additional third track totaling it—including instrumentals—to six tracks.

lol gets busy on YouTube

Ahead of their upcoming album lightning, pop unit lol has been very busy on YouTube as of late. In the past month the group has dropped five videos on avex’s YouTube channel; three songs are brand new and two have Halloween dance videos of songs already released.

“Trigger” got a fun Halloween edition where the group dances as characters to the ever-popular shoujo anime Sailor Moon while the Halloween edition of their song “like that!!” has the group performing as zombies. On October 15 lol dropped the music video for their new song “#love_xxx” which is a really cute music video shot in first-person perspective. On October 29 lol again released a new music video, this time for “like that!! Pt. 2 feat. Sanari” which acts as a follow-up to their song “like that!!”. “like that!! Pt. 2 feat. Sanari” mostly resembles its predecessor but Sanari performs a rap for the first verse and Honoka raps the second verse. Lastly, on November 26 lol dropped their latest video, this time for “look up!!” which features the group acting like college students. The song serves to be an inspirational number.

The Up Up Girls will show just who the number one cutest idol really is with new single!

Seiko Omori

Following the successful release of their album Aoharu 1st, the second generation of popular idol group Up Up Girls (2) announced a brand new single, “世界で一番かわいいアイドル / し・て・る・も・ん” (“Sekai de Ichiban ga Kawaii Idol/ Shi・Te・Ru・Mo・N”), scheduled for January 7.  This will be the latest single from the group since “Be lonely together” back in August and it is their eighth single overall. Written and composed by industry legend Seiko Omori, “Sekai de Ichiban ga Kawaii Idol” was written as a cheery pop love song  while “Shi・Te・Ru・Mo・N” holds a more inspiring theme. The single will be a double A-side and will be released with only a CD-only standard edition which, unfortunately for now, doesn’t have pre-order links available. However, we shall update you guys when it does! In the meantime check out the music video for Up Up Girls’ “Pajama DE Tantebo” below!
