Nothing's Carved In Stone threatens to blow it up with latest music video!

Four-member rock band Nothing’s Carved in Stone dropped the music video for their upcoming track “Blow It Up” on their official YouTube channel. “Blow It Up” will be one of the lead tracks for the band’s upcoming album By Your Side, dropping September 25.  Directed stunningly by the duo of Kazuya Tanaka and Shin Ishihara, the song exhibits the apparent style difference between directors yet is streamlined seamlessly and stars Yu Ishizuka. 

By Your Side is set to be released with ten tracks total and will be available in two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include the music of not only “Blow It Up” but “Who Is” and “Beginning”  along with member interviews. Music Corner Week 23: iri

iri is a vocalist that got her start back 2016 who takes her unique spin on the ever-growing R&B-Jazz fusion genre that has taken over Japan music industry as of late. Given with a gift of an acoustic guitar and the interest of going jazz bar time and time again. Combined with all these contributions, iri developed a soulful vocal style mixed in with hip-hop like a lyrical arrangement, which at first listens might throw off some listeners as her vocal style is a fairly mature one for someone of her age.

iri vocal present is almost trance-like as akin to JUJU, iri takes full control of her vocals and mixes it beautiful to whatever arrangement that is thrown to it. Whether it be a slower and dramatic composition like “Shade” or the more energetic fusion style tracks such as ”Wonderland”, or “Only One”, iri brings a present that might have been glossed over several years back but is a perfect fit to what the industry needs now.

Although short iri has several achievements already under her belt such as winning Sony Music’s JAM auditions which immediately propelled her to an artist to keep watch of with the collaboration of several big partners such as Amazon for their 2019 Japan Fashion Week the sky is her ceiling for the reach of her success. Currently, iri released two singles “Watashi”(2017) and “Only One”(2018), with three albums Grove It (2016), Juice (2018) and Shade (2019). iri also has several vinyl releases under her belt due to the genre she’s associated with.

TWICE announces new Japanese album

Korean idol sensation TWICE announced they will be releasing their second Japanese album &TWICE November 20. On the album will be hit songs “Happy Happy” and “Breakthrough” but the final track listing has yet to be revealed. The album name means “there is infinite potential when you collaborate”. &TWICE will be released in three editions total, a standard edition that will be CD-only and two limited editions that will come with a bonus DVD. The limited edition Type A will have on its DVD, a live performance from the group’s arena tour back in 2018. The limited edition Type B will feature a music video for the group’s song “Fake & True” along with a making-of video, plus two music videos for “Happy Happy” and a behind-the-scenes look at a jacket shooting along with a shooting in Hawaii. Pre-order is up and posted below along with the music video for TWICE’s hit song “Breakthrough”.

heidi. announces ninth album

Visual kei rock band heidi. revealed they will be dropping a brand new album titled Hyohon which will be released October 23. Hyohon will be heidi.’s ninth album overall coming a little over a year after their last album Que Sera Sera. Also, heidi. is celebrating being together for thirteen years. Hyohon will be released in two editions, a Type A edition that will be CD + DVD and a Type B edition the will be CD-only. The A edition will feature eleven tracks on the CD and the DVD will feature a concert held August 17. The B edition, on the other hand, will have a total of twelve tracks on the CD with the twelfth being a bonus song titled “Milky Way”. osage says goodbye to summer with brand new music video!

Four-member rock band osage dropped the music video for their track “Analog” on murffin discs’ official YouTube channel. “Analog” will be the one of the lead songs for osage’s upcoming mini-album October. , unsurprisingly set for release October 9. The music video focuses on a group of five friends celebrating their last summer vacation to create lasting memories together. Footage of vocalist Kenta Yamaguchi walking through a field is interspliced throughout the the video, giving that melancholic feeling of summer finally ending director Satoru Hayashi expertly crafted for fans. October. will be released with six tracks and drop with only a CD-only standard edition.
