STARMARIE expands to U.S. in two upcoming conventions!

After the release of their single “Yokan”, five-member idol group STARMARIE announced not only that they will be having a brand new live event titled STARMARIE LIVE 2019 FANTASY CIRCUS 第五幕 ~化けビトたちの音楽会~ (STARMARIE LIVE 2019 FANTASY CIRCUS Day Go-Maku ~Bake Bitotachi no Ongakkai~) in Tokyo’s Hulic Hall August 11, but also that the group will be making several appearances in anime conventions in the United States. The first is Anime Weekend Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia from October 31~ November 3; you can check out more info here. The next is Kumoricon in Portland, Oregon from November 15-17, which you can check out here.

Poppin' Party shows what girls are made of in teaser of latest song!

Ahead of their monumental competition live, Poppin’ Party dropped a small teaser for the music video “NO GIRL NO CRY” on their official YouTube channel. “NO GIRL NO CRY” will be the main theme song for the titular two-day competition live between Bushiroad’s multimedia project BanG Dream’s band Poppin’ Party and popular girl’s band SILENT SIREN taking place May 18 and 19 in the famed MetLife Dome. 

The music video, albeit short, tells us what to expect for the full song, and with this is the first time that the band appears in a music video through their real life persona. On the opposite side, SILENT SIREN also dropped a similar teaser which features them with more vocals present.

SEVENTEEN AGAiN shows us what to look out for with new album!

Three-member rock band SEVENTEEN AGAiN announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, Look Out, dropping July 10. Look Out will be the latest album release by the band since their album 少数の脅威 (Shosu no Kyoi) back in 2015. The album is set for release with previously vinyl single ”戦争はおわりにしよう” (“Senso ha Owarini Shiyo”) and “悲しい顔しないでよ” (“Kanashi Kao Shindeyo”) with its track listing totaling out to ten tracks.

SEVENTEEN AGAiN also announced that they will bring back their official design shop for the summer, slated to ship around June. For more info check out their official site.

Utada lights up the stage after twelve years!

Popular female vocalist Utada Hikaru will be releasing recorded footage of her last stop on her 2018 tour Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018, Utada’s first tour in twelve years. There is only gong to be only one edition of Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018 and it will be sold in limited quantity.

The actual contents of this are pretty big. Of course, the main feature will be Utada’s final performance of the tour which also served as her 20th anniversary tour; this will be on Blu-ray. There will also be a documentary film titled "Talking about Laughter in the Dark". On top of that, there will be two DVDs which will have music videos for “Forevermore,” ”Anata,” and ”Hatsukoi” along with music videos’ Making Of documentaries that aired on M-ON!. There will also be a sixty-page photo book and, finally, a replica of the backstage pass. You can find a full track listing for Utada’s last performance of her tour below.

KENN helps take us back to Meji Era

Japanese voice actor and singer Kenichirō Ōhashi, better know as KENN, will be releasing a new single, “Hitoyo no Eien ni Kimi Omou”, which will be for the main theme for the Meiji Tokyo Renka live action movie that is due out this year. “Hitoyo no Eien ni Kimi Omou” is coming out July 24 and there will only be one edition as of the time of this reporting.

Meiji Tokyo Renka is a visual novel series about a modern day high school girl who gets transported back to Meji Era Japan. The novel received an anime series this past January.
