SPYAIR's 『Just Like This』 tour coming to Blu-ray and DVD！

SPYAIR is a Japanese rock band formed in 2005 famous for their songs “Last Moment”, “Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot)”, “Imagination”, and “RAGE OF DUST”, among many more! They will be releasing their live concert “Just Like This 2018” on Blu-ray and DVD March 27! The concert was held at Fuji-Q Highland Conifer Forest. Fuji-Q Highland is a famous amusement park at the bottom of Mount Fuji, near Tokyo.

Both Blu-ray and DVD versions will contain a photo book, clear case packaging, and bonus footage! You can pre-order your copy here!

milet artfully expresses herself in a previews her debut single!

Vocalist milet released a small snippet of her music video for her debuting EP “Inside you” on her official YouTube channel. Releasing March 6, “inside you” will be the opening for Fuji TV’s drama スキャンダル専門弁護士 QUEEN (Scandal Senmon Bengoshi QUEEN). The single is written by milet herself with composition being done by herself and ONE OK ROCK’s guitarist Toru for those who don’t know who he is  see the image to the right.

“inside you EP” is set release with four tracks total with two different editions: a CD only standard edition and a CD+DVD limited edition which will include the full music video for “inside you”.

Indie Corner Week 32: sankara

sankara is a two-member hip-hop group formed back in 2013. While the Japanese hip-hop community is a small but vocal one within the music industry, sankara stands out with their minimalist background music and the way they let their lyrics do the talking. sankara takes an interesting twist on the genre by dabbling both in English and Japanese. While this twist isn’t new, per se, within the genre with groups such as m-flo and SIRUP leading the charge, sankara does it in such in a minimalist style that the listener might not even the notice when the switch happens. This is evident in their song “Off”, which shows off rapper Toss’s skill to spit out rhymes all while being supported by Ryo’s smooth vocals—which comes off as an interesting balance. 

While they only have one “street” album interestingly coined Wash The scar Off My life, they are definitely a group to look out for in the future.

Hinatazaka46 employs hundreds of extras for first re-debut single!

Ahead of their new single, Hinatazaka46 have dropped their very first music video under their new name. The new single is due March 27 and is titled “Kyun”.

Up until recently, Hinatazaka46 went by a different title, Keyakizaka46; but unlike their older sister group, the name was spelled with Hiragana instead of kanji. Back in February it was announced that the group would be changing their name to Hinatazaka46 to avoid confusion.

“Kyun” will be released in four editions; there will be a Type A, Type B, Type C, and a standard edition. While the standard edition will only include a CD, it will come with six tracks. Types A, B, and C will not only feature the CD but each will come with a Blu-ray that will feature the music video for “Kyun” and the music video for the exclusive B-side track for each type. And as though it weren’t enough, also included will be a small documentary of several members, with each Type’s being different.
