GFRIEND to release third Japanese single!

GFRIEND, a six-member girl group from Korea who has been sweeping the Oricon album charts, is bringing their third Japanese single “Flower” March 13. “Flower” is being released in three editions: a CD + DVD Type A limited edition, a CD Type B limited edition, and a CD standard edition. The CD + DVD Type A limited edition will include the music video and Making Of for “Flower” and will include an event ticket. The CD Type B limited edition will include a photo book and an application card. On a first-come, first-served basis (First Press edition) you will also get a photo card selected from one of six members.

Kana Nishino's Love Collection live is coming to blu-ray!

Kana Nishino is a Japanese pop vocalist under Sony Music Japan who has recently gone on hiatus. She will be bringing her last live performance to Blu-ray through Love Collection Live 2019 , which is set for release April 24! Love Collection Live 2019 is also the name of the three-day concert event held at Yokohama Arena. The concert will come in four luxurious editions: a 2-Blu-ray + GOODS limited edition, a 3-DVD + GOODS limited edition, a Blu-ray standard edition, and a 2-DVD standard edition. The 2-Blu-ray + GOODS and 3-DVD + GOODS limited editions will come housed in a deluxe box which includes the following: a bonus disc featuring excerpts from Kana’s “LOVE it Tour 2018” , a photo book, and bonus items which are yet to be announced. The Blu-ray standard edition and 2-DVD standard edition both feature only the concert at Yokohama Arena.

AKB48 idol announces ambitions to start career in Korea

AKB48 idol Juri Takahashi announced that not only will she be graduating from the mega idol group, but she will also be pursuing a career in South Korea. Takahashi is currently the captain of AKB48’s Team B. The announcement came March 4 during a theater performance.

Takahashi competed on the idol reality TV show Produce48 and even though she didn’t ultimately win, she continued to speak with Korean officials and decided that this is what she wanted to pursue.

She also announced that she will be working with Woollim Entertainment—the company that manages Infinite, Joo, and Lovelyz, just to name a few. The final graduation date for Takahashi, along with the debut of her new record label, is still being worked out.

J SOUL BROTHERS presents worldwide stream!

J SOUL BROTHERS from EXILE TRIBE, a Japanese R&B dance and vocal unit signed to Rhythm Zone, announced that they will have a livestream of their newest single “Yes we are”. The project to showcase their new music video to promote their single is coined “Yes we are ~WORLDWIDE STREAMING~”. It will be available to watch live March 10 at 21:00 - 21:30 (9:00-9:30pm) JST (Japan Time) at the following places: facebook, AbemaTV, LINE LIVE, Instagram, LDH TV, LDH Terminal, Nico Nico Douga, Twitter, WEIBO, and YouTube.

CUBERS announces major label debut!

Five-member Japanese pop band CUBERS announced during their one-man live at LIQUIDROOM that they will be releasing their their first major debut single titled “メジャーボーイ“ (“Major Boy”) May 8. Member “つんく♂さん” (“Tsunku Q-san”) wrote the lyrics himself. “Major Boy” will be used as the main theme for amusement park Toshimaen this year and will be playing throughout its fairgrounds starting March 21. CUBERS currently has five singles, two mini-albums, and one studio album under their belt. “Major Boy” will be their sixth single overall and their first major debut single. It will come in two editions: a limited edition CD + DVD edition and a standard CD-only edition. You can pre-order your copy here.
