Dream Shizuka debuts with powerful ballad!

Dream Shizuka, a pop singer and previous member of popular girl groups Dream and E-girls, marks her solo debut with a powerful ballad titled  “かなしみから始まる物語" (“Kanashimi Kara Hajimaru Monogatari”). The single is to be released digitally February 6; this marks the second member of disbanded dance group Dream to debut solo.

AKB48 announces Sashi's final single!

Mega female idol group AKB48 announced their fifty-fifth single set for release March 13. Its title has not been announced as of this writing but this will be Rino Sashihara’s graduation single; Sashihara will be acting as the center for the song. As per usual, AKB48 will have several different editions for the single, with Type A including three additional songs which will serve as Sashihara’s own graduation songs. Type C will include songs sung by an all-star cast consisting of members from both the 48 and 46 groups—including a special guest from recently-debuting IZ*ONE from Korean reality TV Show Produce48, naming this all-star group IZ4648.

Rino Sashihara has been with AKB48 since 2007 and is mostly known for being in the sub-group Not Yet. However, in 2012 Sashihara was involved in a dating scandal that led her to a demotion to then-newly-formed HKT48. Even then, Sashihara’s popularity has only continued to grow, even winning her the 2013 Senbatsu (election) and enabling her to become the center for AKB48’s mega hit song “恋するフォーチュンクッキー” (“Koisuru Fortune Cookie”).

moumoon to release new album in March!

Japanese pop duo moumoon consists of vocalist YUKA and guitarist and synthesizer Masaki Kousuke. They are set to release their eighth studio album, NEWMOON, March 6. NEWMOON will contain fifteen tracks and will be sold in three different editions: CD, CD + 2 DVDs, and a CD + 2 Blu-rays. Disc One of the DVD/Blu-ray will contain their Flyaways Tour 2018 while Disc Two of the DVD/Blu-ray will contain excerpts from their concerts.

lol Announces New Single

On January 28 five-member co-ed pop idol group lol announced on their twitter page that their new single tittled “サヨナラの季節 (“Sayanara No Kisetsu”)/ lolli-lolli”, is set to released on March 20. “Sayanara no Kisetsu/ loli-loli” will continue the tradition as of most singles released by lol to be a double A-side.

Over the past few days lol has been teasing more of the single. First there was this post on February 1 and the second teaser being posted several days later. (which you can view here)

“Sayanara no Kisetsu/ loli-loli” will release with two different editions first is a regular edition including only the single itself which you can preorder that here. The second being a limited edition DVD and CD edition which includes a DVD copy of the music videos . You can preorder that edtion here.

iri Previews A Small Sample Of Her Latest Track "Shade"!

Vocalist iri released a preview for her upcoming song “Shade” on her official YouTube channel. “Shade” will also as the titular song for her upcoming album also titled Shade, set to release on March 6. Shade which is set to release with eleven tracks total, will also host various guest collaborators for the album, such as tofubeats, groove man Spot and STUTS.

Shade is set to release with a limited edition which will include a short documentary of iri’s time in Taiwan ,and regular edition. Also announced was that Shade will also release a special limited edition which will a special designed T-shirt. (As seen here)
