BanG Dream! Announces New Collaboration Project!

Bushiroad’s multimedia project BanG Dream! announced during their @Hello, Happy CiRCLE Broadcaster YouTube show that they will have a collaboration event with popular multimedia project Hatsune Miku starting near the end of August. Once again this will only be held for the Japan servers of their game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party. With this collaboration the game will feature three cover songs by the bands Afterglow, Poppin’ Party and Hello Happy World, with special art designs for the covers.

Also announced in part of this collaboration, BanG Dream will also take part in “Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2018” tour in Tokyo.

sumika Previews Their Upcoming Single!

Four-member band sumika dropped the music for their upcoming single, “ファンファーレ / 春夏秋冬” (“Fanfare/ Shunkasyuutou”), on their official YouTube channel.

“Fanfare” being released on August 29, is set to be the opening theme song for the anime 君の膵臓をたべたい (I Want to Eat Your Pancreas) airing September 1.

Sumika adapted a blue theme with this music video, having the band in a play in an empty pool covered in blue paint.

Indie Corner Week 14: sone+JitteryJackal

Formed in 2016, sone+JitteryJackal is a two-man EDM collaboration unit comprised of singer-songwriter sone, formerly from band ATLANTIS AIRPORT, and musician Jyune Kobayashi of Oyasumi Holograms and TAMTAM fame. sone has a very powerful voice, which is only reinforced by both Kobayashi’s majestic melody and the beats he creates for her. Their song “ジオラマ東京” (“Tokyo Diorama”) aptly shows off the extent of her vocal range.

Currently sone+JitteryJackal have two mini-albums, one released in 2016 and the second in 2017. They released their first full album, TALE TELLER, back in April of this year.

KANA-BOON Announces New Album!

Four-member rock band KANA-BOON announced a brand new B-side compilation album, KBB vol.2, being released on September 19. This album is a companion piece for KBB vol.1, which was released in March of this year. Both KBB vol.1&2 were released to commemorate KANA-BOON’s fifth anniversary of their major label debut.

The album will release with thirteen tracks total, eleven tracks being the B-side tracks. Also included will be one new song ”夜の窓辺から” (“Yoru no Madobe kara“) and a remaster of their major debut song “盛者必衰の理、お断” (“Shoshahissui no Ri, Odan”).

PassCode Announces First Double A-side Single!

Four-member idol group PassCode announced a brand new single, “Tonight/ Taking you out”, being released on September 12 and will be the groups first double A-side single.

A limited edition version of the single will also be released including a DVD copy of “PassCode Presents VERSUS PASSCODE 2018” event that PassCode did in Osaka.
