Indie Corner Week 3: BabySitter

BabySitter are a four-member female band from Nagoya that started in 2015 that came together during a high school festival performance. They modeled themselves after similar bands such as SCANDAL and SHISHAMO. Vocalist and guitarist Yui writes her music with a pop style and elevates it to be much more in tune with the band energy and natural performance. "ボクのうた" ("Boku no Uta") is a prime example of this.

Currently, BabySitter has two singles: "スーパーヒーロー" ("Super Hero"), which was released in 2016; and their second single, "ボクのうた", which was released in October of 2017. "ボクのうた" has shown major success, being Nagoya’s Tower Records number one single over 20 consecutive weeks--and still going as of this writing.

BabySitter is comprised of Yui (vocals and guitar),

Rio (lead guitar),

Mai (bass),

Miku (drums).
