Mukai Taichi Shows Another Side With Ups And Downs In Latest Video!

Singer-songwriter Mukai Taichi released another version of his latest track “Ups & Downs” on YouTube. This time available in a live version, “Ups & Downs” is a new track produced by mabanua and is included on Mukai’s latest album COLORLESS which was released on April 21! The limited edition of COLORLESS contains a live video of “Ups & Downs” shot in one cut but this other version just released on YouTube features the mechanism included in the video. A.B.C-Z Brings History Project To Life!

Five-member Johnny’s group A.B.C-Z announced a special project titled History Collection which came to fruition May 1. In this project, A.B.C-Z will release past music videos on the first day of every month onward. A.B.C-Z is developing various projects called Z PROJECT for their upcoming 10th Anniversary which will take place next year. With History Collection, A.B.C-Z will also concentrate on releasing their music videos that have yet to be dropped on any streaming platforms, such as on YouTube. The first two of these videos are for “Crush on You” and “Black Sugar”. We are looking forward to seeing what videos will be released each month, so stay tuned.

Miyu Tomita Brings the Prologue With Her Career With Upcoming Album!

Popular voice actress-turned-vocalist Miyu Tomita announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, Prologue, June 30. This will be the latest release by the vocalist since her single “Broken Sky” back in November of last year and will be her first album overall. The album is set for release with ten tracks total and will be inlaid with three previously released singles: "Present Moment," "翼と告白” (“Tsubasa to Kokusai”), and "Broken Sky”, along with new song "Letter," which Tomita wrote and composed herself. Tomita named the album with messages in mind such as "Introduction" and "Beginning of the story". About this work, she said, "The songs were recorded when I was 19-21 years old. It is an album with which you can feel the process of me maturing from a “child” to an “adult”. I hope you enjoy it.”

The album will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will include music videos for the past three singles along with the music video for the the track “Jirenman” and a behind-the-scenes making-of for the video.

Aimer Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Live!

Vocalist Aimer announced that she will be holding a one-woman live to commemorate her tenth anniversary in the music industry September 7. This announcement comes right after the release of her latest album Walpurgis which was released on April 14. The live, Aimer 10th Anniversary Live in SAITAMA SUPER ARENA, will be held September 11-12 at the Saitama Super Arena. This was announced on May 1 at Aimer’s online live Live at Anywhere 2021 Walpurgis. This will be the first time in one year and seven months since Aimer has held a performance in front of a live audience. Tickets are currently on sale through Aimer’s fan club Blanc de Noir. This performance will be the first of her 10th Anniversary year and the perfect kickoff. Let’s congratulate Aimer on ten years in the industry. We look forward to more to come!

Hikaru Utada Doesn't Let the Kiss Go With US and EU Vinyl Editions of Latest Hit!

Industry icon Hikaru Utada announced that she will be releasing both an EU and US version of “One Last Kiss” in vinyl via American label Milan Records August 20. The title song "One Last Kiss" is the theme song for the movie Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time and was released in Japan in early March. For the first time as a solo artist at Oricon she won the top spot in two digital categories for three consecutive weeks and also won the top spot on the Billboard JAPAN HOT 100. Following the hit of this song overseas, it was decided that the EU and US versions of the vinyl would be released.

English translations by Utada are posted on the lyric cards of the EU and US editions. The LP is a color vinyl specification: the US version is transparent and the EU version is blue. Rei Ayanami's illustration was used for the LP jacket released in Japan but Asuka Shikinami Langley's illustration was used for the US and EU edition jackets. Also, those who purchase the LP will receive a sticker with a jacket illustration.
