Shuka Saito Leads into Fall With Upcoming Mini-album!

Popular voice actress-turned-vocalist Shuka Saito announced that she will be releasing a brand new mini-album sometime during fall. This will be the latest release by the artist since “36℃ / PaPaPa” and will be her second mini-album overall. The announcement of the mini-album came from Saito’s “Solo debut 1st anniversary & birthday live stream” which happened on YouTube back on August 16. Saito commented, “I’m going to fly away the summer with this release!” The vocalist also announced that she will hold a future livestream to divulge more information about the mini-album along with the theme of the release. Details of the mini album and the livestream will be announced later via Saito's official website.

BLUE ENCOUNT Shows Fans Their Lullaby With Latest Music Video!

To celebrate the release of their latest single, “Yume Migusa”, popular four-member rock band BLUE ENCOUNT released the track’s music video on their YouTube channel. The track is set to be the theme song for the upcoming romance movie 青くて痛くて脆い (Aokute Itakute Moroi), which will being shown in Japan August 28.

This was the latest release from the band since “あなたへ” (“Anata he”) back in May and was their twelfth single overall. “Yume Migusa” was released with two tracks and two editions including a CD-only standard edition and a CD+DVD limited edition. The DVD will include footage from their BLUE ENCOUNT TOUR2019「B.E. with YOU that took place at Zepp Tokyo back in November 2019. Tak Matsumoto Brings the Blues Back With Upcoming Album!

Industry veteran Tak Matsumoto of the band B’z announced that he would be releasing a brand new solo album, Bluesman, on September 2. This is his latest solo project since enigma back in 2016 and is his twelfth solo album overall. Kyosuke Himuro of Boøwy fame took on the vocals and lyrics of several tracks and the album contains thirteen songs. Bluesman also dropped with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD+DVD limited edition, and a vinyl edition. The DVD features a music video for the “track Waltz in Blue," a T-shirt, and a guitar pick.

URBANGARDE Spreads Subculture Online for Upcoming Utsu Fes 2020!

URBANGARDE announced that their yearly subculture music event Utsu Fes (“Depresion Festival”) will be transmitted online this year.

URBANGARDE’s earlier plans to stage the 2020 “UTSU-LYMPICS” to match the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have been postponed due to ongoing pandemic In its place, the band will present an abbreviated lineup in front of a sold-out live audience, broadcasting worldwide from Tsutaya O-East in Shibuya on Sunday, September 13. In addition to URBANGARDE’s first live performance in six months, Utsu Fes 2020’s lineup of Japanese subculture artists will include Atarashii Gakkou No Leaders, Kenji Ohtsuki, and Eren-Chan, who will each perform a special collaboration with URBANGARDE in addition to their solo sets.

Hiragana Kamiyado Hides A Rainbow In New Video

Six-member girl idol group Hiragana Kamiyado dropped two brand new music videos for their latest album HRGN. The new album dropped August 12 and hit twenty-seventh on the Oricon. The album’s first track is “Tōmeina Rainbow”, a bright and colorful upbeat dance number. The second, “I believe...”,  is a slower number that really puts the girls’ vocal skills on display. Both songs are posted below for everyone to check out. HRGN was released in a CD-only edition and order links are also posted for anyone interested.
