Macaroni Pencil Drops Music Video For New Album

Rock band Macaroni Pencil dropped a brand new music video for their new album titled hope which dropped April 1. hope will be Macararoni Pencil’s second full album. The video is for the title track of the album, “hope”, and depicts two women living together. The new album isn’t up on CDJapan but it is available on Apple Music and Spotify. Haruka Yamazaki Lets Fans in on A Mystery With Upcoming Mini-album!

Voice actress-turned-vocalist Haruka Yamazaki announced that she will release a brand new mini-album, mystère, June 3. Famously known for her roles in hit anime such as When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace and THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE series, Yamazaki is still relatively new as a solo artist. This will be the latest release by Yamazaki since her C’est Parti!! album back in August of last year and will be her first mini-album. Not much is known about the release except that it will feature six tracks and only a CD-only standard release.

SARD UNDERGROUND Announces Second Single

Music group SARD UNDERGROUND announced they will be releasing their second single June 3, to be titled “Korekara No Kimi Ni Kanpai”. The new song was written by group member Izumi Sakai and will be similar to their first single which dropped in February, titled “Sukoshizutsu Sukoshizutsu”. “Sukoshizutsu Sukoshizutsu” was used as one of the ending themes for Detective Conan. No other details have been announced about “Korekara No Kimi Ni Kanpai” at this time but be sure to check out “Sukoshizutsu Sukoshizutsu” in the video below.

Polkadot Stingray Jets Off in Latest Music Video!

To celebrate the release of their brand new track “JET”, Music Corner alum Polkadot Stingray also dropped the music video for said track on their official YouTube channel. Directed beautifully by Tatsuya Kurahashi of the design team Quark tokyo, the video focuses on lead vocalist Shizuku as she goes through everyday life. The track is set as a collaboration song with Australia based airline Jetstar. Polkadot Stingray flips the script once again by showing a more bubbly upbeat composition that will have fans up and dancing. They brought on keyboardist MARI of the band Gesu no Kiwamiotome to help bring this energetic composition to life.

“JET” is currently available on all digital streaming platforms and is the latest release by the group since their 新世紀 (Shinseiki) mini-album back in January. Check out the music video in question below!

Nanako Nagasawa Announces Graduation From Keyakizaka46

Keyakizaka46’s Nanako Nagasawa announced she will be graduating March 31. Nanako was part of the first generation of the group and had been with the group since they debuted back in 2015. The announcement came via the group’s official website and Nagasawa herself went on her private blog to confirm the news, stating, “I want to take the first step toward my dream before my twenty-third birthday.” She would go on to state that, “I’m very lonely since I’ll be leaving Keyakizaka46 and I can’t meet the fans… but I’ll do my best to meet you again!” We at Ongaku to You wish Nagasawa the best in her future endeavors.
