STU48 loves people

Mega female idol group STU48 released a brand new music video for their upcoming single “Daisuki Na Hito” which will be released July 31. The video is a slower number and features various members of the group meeting up in different locations before a crowd of people meet on a barge and begin dancing. The group members are in the foreground but past them there are over a hundred extras who are also dancing to the song.

In traditional fashion for the big 48 groups, “Daisuki Na Hito” is getting a bunch of editions. The grand total of editions being released is eight, with four being standard editions which will include a CD along with a DVD; however, the limited edition will also have a CD along with a DVD but also feature an event ticket that is only valid in Japan. Each of the eight editions, too, will come with its own unique cover art which can be found posted below. You can pre-order your copy of “Daisuki Na Hito” at the links provided and check out its video.

Seiko Matsuda tells her greatest story

Industry veteran Seiko Matsuda is releasing a compilation of her best songs from the 90s and 00s titled Seiko Story - 90s - 00s Hits Collection - which will be released August 7. Matsuda got her start back in 1980 as a teen idol and went on to have twenty-four consecutive singles hit number one on the charts. She rose to prominence during what is considered the golden age of idols but unlike most idols who eventually faded from popularity, Matsuda was able to maintain relevance well after the golden age of idols had come to an end. She is active in the industry to this day and over the course of her career she has released eighty-four singles and fifty-two studio albums.

Seiko Story - 90s - 00s Hits Collection - is being released in one edition and it will be on two Blu-spec CD2 discs, a newer type of CD made using the Blu-ray process which makes the sound more clear. Also, Blu-spec CD2 works with regular CD players. You can pre-order your copy of Seiko Story - 90s - 00s Hits Collection - here.
