Keyakizaka46 First Album Reaches A Historic Record!

Idol group Keyakizaka46 achieved a major feat for their first album 走り出す瞬間(Hashiri Dasu Shunkan), released on June 20th. It ranked first on both the digital and physical charts for the week of June 18-24. With this, Keyakizaka46 became the second female group to achieve such a feat, the first being their elder sister group Nogizaka46, who achieved this in July of last year.

Keyakizaka46’s captain, Kumi Sasaki, stated, “We had a lot of concerns about the album but in light of it taking first place we are extremely happy with this news.”

Negicco Drops A Preview Of Their Upcoming Album!

The green onion-loving three-member idol group Negicco released a trailer for their latest album MY COLOR, set for release July 10th. This will be their fourth album overall and will feature thirteen songs. A limited edition version will be available; it will include a second disk featuring solo songs by all three members, along with new song “はじまりの場所”  (“Hajimari no Bashou”).

the quiet room’s New Mini Album Become New Ending Theme For Popular Variety Show!

Four-member rock band the quiet room announced today that their song “東京” (“Tokyo”) will be used as the new ending theme for the variety show モヤモヤさまぁ～ず2  (Moyamoya Summers 2). “Tokyo” will be included in the quiet room’s latest mini album 色づく日々より愛を込めて  (Irozuku Hibi yori Ai wo Komete), set for release on July 4th.

This will be the quiet room’s first tie-in song and we look forward to new works by them! In the meantime you can preorder Irokuzu Hibi Yori Ai wo Komete  here, and check out thier music video for the song “Fessy” below!

King & Prince Achieves An Amazing Record With Their Debut Single!

“Cinderella Girl” back in May. Oricon is now reporting that with 626,000 copies it has placed fifth in the first half of 2018 for singles. This statistic will make King & Prince the first male debut single artist in ten years to make the TOP 10 during the first half of a year. With this achievement they are also the first artists in eleven years to have sold more than 600,000 copies of their debut single (excluding artists that made their transition from a group to a solo artist).

BRADIO Releases A Teaser For Their First Major Album!

Three-member funk band BRADIO released a design teaser for their upcoming first major album YES, set for release on July 4th. The teaser features various brush paintings alongside a short preview of all twelve songs on the album. Also previewed is the song “Boom!Boom!ヘブン” ("Boom!Boom! Heaven”), which will be used as the theme song for the variety show Sukkiri, which starting in July
