WACK in the UK Vol. 2: Tickets on Sale from Saturday

Japan's notorious WACK agency returns to the UK for another dose of unadulterated alternative pop music for Japan featuring three of its acts! WACK In The UK Vol.2 will feature GANG PARADE, ASP and KiSS KiSS at The Underworld in Camden, London on 27 March 2024, and be warned, it's a full on day if you want to get the most out of it! GANG PARADE

This chart-topping fun group from Japan consists of 13 members and has the concept みんなの遊び場, “playground for all”. Latest album OUR PARADE was released from Warner Music’s FUELED BY MENTAIKO and shot to #1 in the Oricon album chart. It includes anime theme ‘lol’ from ME & ROBOCO, as well as the energetic ‘SIGNAL’ and joyous ‘SUPER PARTY PEOPLE’ amongst others.

These anti-idol idol punks are exploding right now. Since making their overseas debut at WACK In The UK Vol. 1 in London last year, ASP have gone on to sell out their first outdoor headline show, produced a number one single with the help of Sam Matlock (WARGASM), and have booked their own show at the mighty Nippon Budokan arena later this year. This recently formed electronic group mark their first anniversary by performing in London for WACK In The UK Vol. 2! Expect high energy, bright colors and thumping basslines if their music video KiSS KiSS KiSS is anything to go by.

GANG PARADE shows their Rapyu skill with latest music video!

Popular alt idol group GANG PARADE released the music video for their track “らびゅ” (“Rapyu”) on their official YouTube channel. “Rapyu” is the lead track for the group’s upcoming first major label album LOVE PARADE dropping November 13. Directed by Ryo Ichikawa of Koe inc, “Rapyu” shows off warped visuals of the members to prove to the masses just how different GANG PARADE is compared to traditional idol groups. Like several other songs on LOVE PARADE, “Rapyu” is composed by Kenta Matsukuma. LOVE PARADE will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a two-CD + Blu-ray + photo book limited edition. As previously reported, the second disc will feature excerpts from the concert held at Osaka-Jo Hall earlier in the year.

GANG PARADE shows off their Love Communication in sunny Hawaii!

Popular alt idol group GANG PARADE dropped the music video for their track “LOVE COMMUNICATION” on their official YouTube channel. “LOVE COMMUNICATION” is set to be one of the lead tracks for the group’s first major album LOVE PARADE set for release November 13. The music video showcases the summer love feeling and has the girls showing it off on the sunny beaches of Waikiki and among the spacious greenery of Kapiolani Park. Like the Korean idol group TWICE before them, the track and the music video itself are more of an advertisement of the summertime —all the time— feeling of Hawaii, stating that summertime never ends in Hawaii. “LOVE COMMUNICATION” is written and composed by Kenta Matsukuma with SCARAMBLES who has worked with the group in the past, handling the arrangement.

LOVE PARADE will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a two-CD + Blu-ray + Photo book limited edition. As previously reported, the second disc will feature excerpts from the concert held at Osaka-Jo Hall earlier in the year.

Gang Parade challenges the limit of their love

Punk female idol group Gang Parade revealed that they will be releasing not only their very first studio album but also a live recording of a concert from their CHALLENGE the LIMIT TOUR. However, the even bigger news is that both of these releases are hitting just a week apart. Gang Parade’s first studio album will be titled Love Parade, set for release September 13. The week before that on September 6, CHALLENGE the LIMIT TOUR at Hibiya Yagai Dai Ongakudo will be released.

Love Parade is being released in two editions. The standard edition will be CD-only while the limited edition will include two CDs, a Blu-ray, a hundred-page photobook, and it will also feature special packaging. CHALLENGE the LIMIT TOUR at Hibiya Yagai Dai Ongakudo will be released in two editions as well: the first edition, the DVD edition, will include only the DVD while the Blu-ray edition will feature two discs, the second of which featuring excerpts from the concert held at Osaka-Jo Hall, and a deluxe booklet . GANG PARADE goes MAJOR!!

The nine-member Japanese idol group unit GANG PARADE announced at their Going Going WACK tour (held at Zepp Tokyo, March 19) that they are going major! Their major debut single will be coming out April 17 with the title “NEW GANG PARADE” . This announcement comes not too long after their latest album LAST GANG PARADE was released January 8, which is now their last indie album.
