Gray's Ongaku Go For October of 2021

With the spooky month of October passing us by that means a brand new Ongaku Go is here! We at OTY would like our readers to know what was filling our ears for the past month. Each track is available across all digital music streaming platforms, with Apple Music featured on this site.

“Romeo & Juliet &” by Shirose

“Romeo & Juliet &” dropped earlier this week and I’ve had it on repeat ever since. Shirose’s vocals are just something else and I love the way he sings. This is a really good ballad with an excellent melody. The listener really feels the emotion behind this song, and I can’t wait to see what Shirose does next. I am officially a fan.

“Tabeta Ai by aiko

This was a wonderful surprise when we covered it on the show, and it has continued to bring light into my life ever since. This is just a fun composition that honestly isn’t heard too often these days and aiko’s smoky vocals are really well done. This track is just a delight to listen to.

“Tokimeki” by Vaundy

The piano in this track really shines and is just a ton of fun. I’m so glad we just finished our “Music Corner Round-up” and this track particularly is a delight. Vaundy is delightful and I hate I stopped listening to him after we covered him. I won’t be making that mistake again.

“0815” by Rung Hyang

Speaking of “Music Corner Round-up,” I wasn’t on the week we originally covered Rung Hyang, and I really hate I missed that week because Ken really picked a stand-out artist. Her latest single “0815” is powerful and moving. The piano in this number really makes this track click and Hyang’s vocals really compliment the composition really well.

“HADASHi NO STEP” by LiSA

On the show, I made a promise this song would be on my Ongaku Go last month but I wound up running out of room and so now I really want to give this release its time to shine. This latest number by LiSA is just a lot of fun with a pretty complex composition to go with it. I never stopped listening to “HADASHi NO STEP” and I don’t plan on it anytime soon.
