Japan's "deathly cool" (Notion Magazine) mannequin rap duo FEMM released their super sweet pop-anthem “Sugar Rush” earlier this month, along with its avant-garde music video featuring a retro-futuristic unicycle dance troupe. Today, the pair, whose music has been called "unmissable, unique" by Wonderland Magazine have announced a limited edition physical release of latest EP 404 Not Found, available exclusively on MiniDisc through London's JPU Records. 404 Not Found is limited to 200 units worldwide and features the EP's beautiful cyberpunk artwork printed on three sides of the MiniDisc, along with a six-page J-card inserted into a custom jewel case. It's available to pre-order today directly from JPU Records today ahead of its release of April 4.

Ever since being sent from NEO TOKYO, 20XX, the mannequins have been fascinated with current and past technology used by the citizens of our timeline. FEMM magically blurred the lines between analogue and digital stage technology in their one-shot live music video “Sit Down”; mixed motion-capture with cutting edge choreography in “L.C.S."; and released their 80s and 90s J-pop cover album on tape cassette. Sometimes tech from FEMM's future slips into their music videos, such as the exoskeleton cleaning suits from “Chewing Gum Cleaner''s music video.

Now the pair's output will be cast to MiniDisc for the first time. The darkly industrial electronic EP sees FEMM collaborate with a mix of established and fresh talent from across the globe. These include DaBaby/Lil Uzi Vert producer StarBoy, along with Rina Sawayama/100 gecs trackmaker Danny L Harle, while their videos were made together with Radiohead/The 1975 collaborator Weirdcore. With these works, FEMM have ridden the cutting edge of internet culture.
