FEMM Announces Final Concert for London!

Mannequin duo FEMM will perform their last solo concert in London on Saturday 16 December 2023. Two shows will take place on the same day at The Lower Third, situated on London's iconic Denmark Street. The state of the art venue was selected especially for the futuristic pair's farewell show, and is accessible by walking through a mind-blowing immersive space that is connected to the venue, which is also home to the world's largest high-resolution wrap-around screens.

FEMM reached our timeline ten years ago, after travelling from the year 20XX in order to carry out a secret mission. With a decade passed and their adjectives completed, RiRi and LuLa will now leave our world and return to the future by the end of this year. Despite originally arriving in Tokyo, it is London which has resonated with FEMM the most, and is the reason they have decided to hold their final solo show in the capital.

FEMM’s Message to Agents (Fans)

Hi agents, thank you for supporting us for the past 10 years. We are so happy to be able to perform in so many countries this year, and even got an EP out. As much as we want to revisit all the countries and cities, it is just impossible to do so. Finally, we have decided to perform our last oversea show in London, and we wanted to explain way.

London is a special place for us. We have performed multiple times including two solo shows and festivals like HYPER JAPAN. Since we have a special place in our hearts for the city, we thought it would be a perfect place to perform our last show.

Our Latex costumes were originally inspired from London’s “Fetish” fashion & culture, and most of our costume’s material actually comes from London. Also, some of the amazing artists we’ve worked with (Like Danny L Harle, Weirdcore, MYLK and more) are based in London and we feel very close to the city.
With the help of JPU Records, we are performing on Dec 16th, 2023:)

We hope we can meet as many agents as possible.

Big Love,
from RiRi & LuLa

NAQT VANE release English version of ‘NIGHTINGALE’ single, out now

“NIGHTINGALE English cover’ jacket cover

Ensemble group NAQT VANE have released a new version of their sixth digital single ‘NIGHTINGALE’ with all English lyrics, out Friday, November 24. The nightingale is a bird known for its beautiful birdsong, and the song expresses the natural beauty, calmness and tranquility associated with this special bird. The cover artwork is part of a series alongside NAQT VANE’s other English-language releases, rendering the classic design in a new color variation.

The song focuses on the simple beauty of life, referred to in the lyrics as “The nightingale’s song”, as we listen to the voice of nature, connect with it, flourish, and pass it forward – protecting it as it protects us. We humans coexist with nature in a symbiotic relationship, and the lyrics speak of the importance of respecting the world around us as we live our lives – the unique beauty and irreplaceable existence of nature, humans and animals. We are imperfect creatures whose very existence leaves unintended scars on nature; yet there is always meaning to being born on planet Earth. These are the epic themes NAQT VANE grapple with on ‘NIGHTINGALE’.

NAQT VANE will release their first full-length album, ‘Dispersion’, on January 10, 2024. The lavish new album will include 16 songs, eight of which are brand new. Look out for further updates coming soon. In the meantime be sure to check out their latest music video “NIGHTINGALE” below along with the streaming links for the English version here!

She Her Her Hers, Embark on their Largest Ever Tour, an ‘Asian Tour’, for their New Album ‘Diffusion of Responsibility’!

Diffusion of Responsibility Jacket Cover

She Her Her Hers is an alternative band consisting of the trio of Hiroyasu Takahashi, Tomasong and Taiki Matsuura. Despite the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic, the group continued to work hard, releasing music and streaming performances online, and since the start of 2023 they have appeared in numerous events and festivals both domestically and internationally, expanding their activities proactively both at home and abroad. Against this backdrop, their new album ‘Diffusion of Responsibility’ released on Wednesday, November 15th.

In tandem with the release of the new album, they also announced a tour to accompany the release. It is the largest tour that the band has ever embarked on so far and this will be their first ‘Asian tour’. Beginning on Wednesday, December 6th with a performance in Guanghzhou, China and running until Saturday, January 27th, 2024 with a show at Tokyo’s Daikanyama Unit, the tour spans 14 performances across 13 cities.
Maintaining the ethereal soundscape of the shoegaze genre, the band's forte, the tour is also influenced by the increase in the number of large scale live performances and the fact that it is a release tour for an album that includes the new song "CHELSEA," which dares to take a new approach in terms of groove and beat, featuring hints of club music and dance music.

Expectations are growing, not only for the music but also for the group’s live performances.
The CD edition of the new album ‘Diffusion of Responsibility’, which will release digitally on Wednesday, November 15th, will be released on Wednesday, November 29th. When you purchase the CD at a record shop, you will receive leaf notes created by the group themselves as a special gift, and if you purchase a copy from the official homepage it will come signed by the group. Both versions of the CD are now available to pre-order.

Be sure to check out the teaser for the album here, along with the purchase link for the album here!

CHERRY Jacket Cover

As a closure to their 10-year career, Japanese mannequin duo FEMM release their last EP “CHERRY” on November 15.

In the music video for the lead track “CHERRY on TOP,” they wear iconic costumes from their past. The video reminds us of their whole history, like the twerking choreography from their signature song “Fxxk Boyz Get Money,” and an homage of fan-favorite track “Kill the DJ. They also appear at iconic Tokyo locations where the origin of FEMM first began. By revisiting these scenes that are uniquely FEMM, the video offers a poignant final curtain call that will touch your heart.

The EP also includes each member’s first ever solos. RiRi sings “Living in the Spotlight,” which is strong and vulnerable at the same time. It can really illuminate her colorful character. Meanwhile, LuLa’s “Butterfly to the Moon” shows gratitude to FEMM agents (fans), while embracing her past and still try to move on to a new future. Other songs are “SUN,” which lightens our darkest hour, and “We Flood the Night (MYLK Remix),” a rerub of a classic FEMM track with a new touch.

FEMM has been traveling worldwide to deliver their songs and messages to their agents. This year began by performing in Poland at “Magnificon Expo,” followed by a headline performance at “Hyper Japan,” UK’s largest Japanese-culture festival. Then flew to Germany’s “Geek Festival” and “Anime Weekend Atlanta” in the United States. FEMM will also appear at “Comic Con Arabia,” which will be held in Saudi Arabia from November 30 to December 1, as they make one last farewell lap of the world.
