Japanese comedian and bodybuilder Nakayama Kinni-kun has released the music and video of a cover song “Muscles Please!” worldwide on the 26th of January across all digital music streaming platforms. He made this cover song video as a collaboration with cover singer, Singing Cosplayer Hikari, who is active internationally.

Nakayama Kinni-kun is known as a popular Youtuber who has over 1.4 million subscribers on his YouTube channel called, “The Kinniku TVThe Muscle TV】”. Singing Cosplayer Hikari is also famous with her activity as a YouTuber who has been releasing her activity to the world. She has released 25 cover songs in total and her songs have been viewed over 8.1 million times.The cover song of “Yume To Hazakura” was ranked No.1 on the J-POP charts of 14 countries.

In the music video of the cover song of “Muscles Please!” they showed the pair muscle training and dancing humorously and this music video has been released on both of their YouTube channels. The original song “Muscles Please!” is the opening theme song of the TV anime “How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?”. This anime song is very popular both inside and outside of Japan and has been viewed over 240 million times on YouTube. This music video, which is a collaboration between Nakayama Kinni-kun and Singing Cosplayer Hikari, is on air every Saturday as the ending theme song of the TV program “Doyou wa nani suru?” till the end of March.

This nationwide TV program, Doyou wa nani suru? is on both Kansai Telecasting corporation and Fuji Television Network from 08:30 to 09: 55 AM (JAPAN TIME). Also this song is on air through FamilyMart’s inside shop radio program called Mix Fam with your voice, from 23:00 till 04:59 AM until the end of January. Family Mart is a Japanese convenience store franchise chain and has 16,000 stores in Japan.

With their appearance in the media their cover song has been getting interest and the number of people who have viewed the TikTok with the two of them dancing together for practice, and also them on YouTube Shorts, has been increasing. Since New Year's Day 2021, Singing Cosplayer Hikari has been singing cover songs of anime songs and Vocaloid songs, cosplaying, and promoting Japanese culture to the world. On December 20, Hikari released her 23rd cover song video, a cover of "Silent de nani narainai" sung by Sheryl Nome starring May'n/Lanka Lee = Ai Nakajima, the image song of the anime "Macross F" on her YouTube channel. 

In addition, the cover of "Yume to Hazakura", which was released on April 20 for worldwide music and video distribution, has been viewed over 2.2 million times on YouTube.

Singing Cosplayer Hikari has been singing covers of anime and vocaloid songs, as well as cosplaying since the new year of 2021. Her 22 music videos of cover songs on YouTube have been viewed so far over 7 million times.
Her cover song of,  “Yume To Hazakura”, which was released on the 20th of April to music streaming and downloading services, was ranked highly on Apple Music J-Pop charts across 36 countries and became No.1 in 14 countries. She gained popularity especially in France and became No.1 5 times for the J-Pop Daily chart on Apple Music France. Hikari is going to join the album Là où les cœurs se pendent by French rapper Suzuya.This album will be released from E.47 Records today 3rd of December. Hikari voiced a Japanese female devil who, in disguise, tried to steal Suzuya’s soul. She was talking for 14 seconds at the beginning of the song “Voleuse d'âme” (soul thief) which is the 10th song of the album.

Suzuya has released many songs which were inspired by Japanese anime and games. The name Suzuya is taken from the character, Juuzou Suzuya, in the anime, “Tokyo Ghoul”. The album cover was done by illustrator Takato Yamamoto. His illustration is called “the Ukiyo-e Pop style” and “Heisei estheticism style” and he is well known worldwide. The 1st and 12th songs are created by Akira Yamaoka who created music for games such as, Silent Hill series. The female rapper from Kyoto, Edward(我), joined for the 5th song. And she just released her latest cover song of “THE HERO!!” by JAM Project, which is the opening theme song of anime One-Punch Man. The wait is finally over as it’s available across all digital music streaming platforms from October 2 along with the music video being released on YouTube as well. Singing Cosplayer Hikari made her debut on SNS on January 1 this year and she quickly became a massive hit for streaming the vocaloid cover song “Yume to Hazakura” (Lyrics and music by Aoki Gekkou) by Hatsune Miku. The song was released to the world on April 20.
