YOSHIKI stars in Attack on Titan-Themed Commercial as Super-Powered Drum Titan

Industry icon YOSHIKI transforms into a super-powered titan in the new "ATTACK ON YOSHIKI" commercial campaign for Asahi's Wonda Coffee which begins September 3.

Based on the worldwide hit anime series Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), the 3D CG animated character was modeled after YOSHIKI, and the thundering drum sounds were recorded live by the X JAPAN drummer himself.

They artist has also created themes for high-profile anime projects such as X, X2 Double X, Buddha: The Great Departure, and Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary. He served as the inspiration for the Blood Red Dragon comic series by the legendary Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee.

For new fans, YOSHIKI is a composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and the leader of the rock group X Japan, who has sold over 50 million records. He is also the composer of the Attack on Titan theme song “Red Swan” which debuted at #1 on iTunes Rock Charts in 14 countries.

M!LK Brings their HOME MADE Style with Upcoming Album!

Popular boy idol group M!LK announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, HOME MADE CHU!? on September 30th. This will the latest album by the group since Juvenilizm-青春主義- (Seishun Shugi) back in March and will be their fourth album overall. The surprising announcement came during their M!LK ONLINE CHU!? SUMMER -Around The World live stream live event.

Not much is known about the album at the time in reporting except that the group promises a wholesome theme about family and togetherness, compared to their previously released album conceptual cinematic theme. Due to the ongoing crisis, the boys took a different take on making the album and added for fans to look forward to this DIY album. It will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a CD+DVD limited edition. LiSA Brings the Flame Once Again with Upcoming Release!

Vocalist LiSA announced that she will be teaming up with the anime sereis Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba once again by providing the theme song for the upcoming movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, with her track “炎” (“Homura”). The movie will release on October 16th and will be the follow up to the ever-popular anime of last year. Being tied to the series with her popular song “紅蓮華” (“Gurenge”), LiSA looks to take a different path by singing an emotional ballad and was composed by herself and Yuki Kajiura of Fiction Junction fame. A preview of the song was featured on the trailer for the movie available below!

Super Break Dawn Raises Fans Heart with Upcoming Mini-Album!

Eight-member vocal dance group Super Break Dawn announced that they will be releasing a brand new mini-album, Raise Your Heart on September 16th. This will be the first release since becoming the eight-member supergroup and the first under their new label Raise Your Music. The mini-album will release with five tracks and will drop under three editions, all which are CD-only standard editions labeled S, B, and D. 

Leader KOTA commented, “I like to thank the fans for working with us, all the members will continue to work hard with full force. The mini album is filled with love and I’m excited for the fans to listen and I will continue to do my best to do what I can do now for the group.”

STARMARIE Shows the Monster Within with Latest Lyric Video!

Five-member female idol group STARMARIE released the lyric video for their latest track “此のままモンスター” (“Konomama Monster”) on their YouTube channel. This will be their latest release since “ALIVE” back in March and will unfortunately be the last track to feature Kaede Watanabe as she will be graduating from the group. The track is composed by Nao of the rock band heidi. It deals with the theme of sorrow with the lyrics that feature the pain of refusing to move forward.
