Kenshi Yonezu Gives a Shock to his Fans with Latest Music Video!

Popular vocalist Kenshi Yonezu released the music video for his track “感電” (“Kanden”) on his YouTube channel. Set to be the main theme song for the upcoming cop drama MIU404, the track will be a part of Yonezu’s upcoming album STRAY SHEEP and will release on August 5th. Photographer and cinematographer Yoshiyuki Okuyama took charge of this unique music video as a majority of the video takes place in a car in the perspective of a driver looking on to Yonezu’s antics. As previously reported, STRAY SHEEP will feature fifteen tracks total and will include his hit “Lemon”, a self-cover version of “Paprika”, and “馬と鹿” (“Uma to Shika”). The album will be available in four editions; a CD-only standard edition, a CD + Art Book + DVD/Blu-ray limited edition, and a CD + Key chain + Charm limited edition. DVD/Blu-ray will include Yonezu’s 2019 live tour 脊椎がオパールになる頃  (Sekitsui ga Opal ni Narukoro) along with several music videos, the Key chain + Charm limited edition will also be encased in a specially designed box.

Haruma Miura Passes Away at Age 30

Japanese actor turned singer, Haruma Miura passed away in his apartment home in the Minato Ward of Tokyo today in an apparent suicide. He was found on the 18th when Miura’s manager went to visit him when he did not show up for work. The official confirmed Miura-san’s passing at the hospital.

Haruma Miura was well known for his roles in the films and TV series: Attack on Titan part 1 and part 2, Koizora, Kimi ni Todoke, Harlock: Space Pirate, Never Let Me Go, The Last Cinderella, Bloody Monday, Crows Zero II, Gokusen the movie, and many more. He was also going to be releasing his second single “Night Diver” on August 26th as well as plans to announce many other projects for the future, including a musical. Miura-san’s last movie “The Confidence Man JP” will be released in Japan next Thursday.

Necry Talkie To Hold Live Concert On YouTube!

Japanese rock band and Indie Corner alumni Necry Talkie announced they will be hosting an Online Live concert on July 23rd via YouTube. Necry Talkie was scheduled to host their largest nationwide tour “Go Talkie’s! 2020 Spring” but due to COVID19 the entire tour has been canceled. To make up for this cancellation, Necry Talkie announced this special online concert is long awaited for both fans and members! Stay tuned and mark your calendars for July 23rd at 12pm JST! TWICE Brings The Fanfare In Latest Music Video

Korean girl-idol group TWICE has dropped the music video for their single “Fanfare”! The new music video is an upbeat high energy number, mixing both Koren and Japanese styles of pop. The group wants to “make people feel happy and positive with the power of entertainment”. 

“Fanfare” released in three editions; a standard CD-only edition, and two limited editions that come with a bonus DVD. The type A edition DVD features a performance video for the title song, a making-of video, a 24-page lyrics booklet, and a trading card. The type B edition DVD features a cover photo shooting scene and more along with a trading card like the type A edition. The CD for all editions carries four tracks. Harumaki Gohan Announces Album For Two

Male vocaloid and artist Harumaki Gohan has revealed that he will be releasing his latest album titled Futari no and is set to be released on August 26nd. The new album will be Gohan’s first release in two years with his last release being Neo Dream Album from 2018. 

Futari no is being released in two editions; a standard two-CD edition and a limited edition that will come with a bonus DVD. The new album will contain a total of twenty-two tracks and the DVD will feature music videos and making-of featurettes. The limited editions will also come with a fifty-two page art book and an application card that is only valid in Japan.
