ROTH BART BARON Brings Their SPECIAL Flair with Latest Digital Single!

Popular two-member folk rock band ROTH BART BARON announced that they just released a brand new single, “SPECIAL”, across all digital music streaming platforms. This was the latest release by the duo since their album けものたちの名前 (Kemonotachi no Namae) back in November of last year and will be the band’s first digital release of 2020. Not only did the duo release a new single, they also announced that they will release a new album this coming fall. Besides the announcement nothing is known about the album at the time of reporting except that it will be their fifth album.

Spirit Fest Announces New Album

Avant-pop quintet Spirit Fest announced they will be dropping a brand new album titled Mirage Mirage which is set to drop May 28. The new album will be the first album the group has released in a year and a half. Spirit Fest hopes that their listeners will find this album as the “richest and deepest record they’ve heard to date”. 

Mirage Mirage will be released in two editions total, a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition which will be released on two vinyl records. The new album will contain fourteen tracks total and the full track listing is posted below along with the music video for their song “Zenbu Honto (Every Thing is Everything)” which will be on the upcoming album. macaroom and Toshiaki Chiku Awaken the Child Within With Latest Music Video!

Vocalists macaroom and Toshiaki Chiku announced that not only did they just drop brand new single “kodomono odoriko” across digital music streaming platforms, but they also released the music video for said track on Kiishi Bros. Entertainment’s official YouTube. Prior to this release, the single was the first collaboration between the two vocalists and will culminate into a brand new album, kodomono odoriko, which drops May 27. The album will star ten tracks and a CD-only standard editions along with being released across all digital music streaming platforms.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER Dream For Eternity With New Mini-album

Five-member boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER announced they will be releasing a brand new mini-album titled The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY which is set to be released May 18. TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, are a Korean boy group who debuted last year in Korea and this year in Japan. Their first mini-album, The Dream Chapter: Magic, came out last year.  Pre-orders are not up at the time of posting but you can check out the concept trailer for the upcoming mini-album.

Music Corner Week 44: Track's

Track’s is a three-member rock band formed in in 2014 from Fukuoka. While not rewriting the book, so to speak, on what it means to be an alternative band in the dime a dozen Japanese market, they take a page from similar alternative bands from the West. They prioritize synergy with everything above all else, which helps them to stand above and sometimes beyond their peers. Vocalist-guitarist Yonosuke Ikuta’s higher vocal range is the peanut butter to the high energy composition’s jelly, making them nothing to sneeze at. Their tracks “Daydream” and “17 years” are perfect examples of this and while listening to such songs might cause sensory overload for some, even these listeners cannot complain due to how well oiled a machine the band sounds as a whole.

Albeit having a slow start than most, Track’s has participated in several compilation albums in 2016, ‘17, and ‘19, with their first single “She is always late.” in 2017. They have also released two mini-albums, On my way home (2018) and Always with my dream (2019), along with their first album Inside Outside which set for release May 20.
