Megumi Hayashibara Slays With Anniversary Album!
/Popular Japanese seiyuu and pop vocalist Megumi Hayashibara, a major staple in the Japanese industry, is helping to rein in the 30th anniversary of the popular anime Slayers with a special anniversary album titled Slayers 30th Anniversary which hits shelves March 25! In Slayers, Megumi-san is featured as the voice of main character Lina Inverse and is also one of the vocalists in the theme songs for the anime.
Slayers 30th Anniversary will feature songs from Meguami Hayashibara’s Slayers MEGUMIX album—which will be reorganized—as well as songs that were not recorded at the original time, along with newly written songs for this time period. The album is set to have three full discs of songs from Slayers sung by Megumi-san herself and the first press edition will feature exclusive bonuses! On March 29, a special event will be held to commemorate Slayers’ 30th anniversary called Slayers 30th Anniversary Event - If you don’t get together, you’ll rampage!. It will take place at TOKYO DOME! This event will include popular seiyuu such as Megumi Hayashibara (as Lina Inverse), Yasunori Matsumoto (Gaurry), Masami Suzuki (Amelia), Maria Kawamura (Naga), and more! Masami Okui, who participated in the theme songs, will also be there performing.
