Sayuri Bringing A Special Album To Fans!

Japanese pop singer-songwriter Sayuri is bringing a hikigatari (singing to one’s own accompaniment) type album for the first time titled Me which will be released March 18! Me is a special accompaniment album that purely encompasses Sayuri as an artist, featuring her playing her songs on guitar and singing them herself with just one microphone. Sayuri is known for several anime theme songs such as “Koukai no Uta” from My Hero Academia, “Tsuki to Hanabata” from Fate/EXTRA Last Encore, “Heikousen” from Kuzu no Honkai, and many more!

Me will release in two editions including a CD + DVD limited edition and a CD-only regular edition. The CD + DVD edition will include 15 tracks and live footage from two of Sayuri’s events while the CD-only regular edition will only include the same 15 tracks. CHANMINA Drops New Music Video and More!

CHANMINA, a Japanese rapper, vocalist, and songwriter, dropped her latest music video “Voice Memo No. 5”, which is about a girl who falls in love with a clown and the process of recognizing that she was crazy for falling in love with a crazy man. Not only did CHANMINA drop her latest video, but the track listings for both note-book -Me- and note-book -u- were revealed. As stated in our previous article, both mini-albums will be dropping simultaneously on February 19.

CHANMINA also announced her latest tour will be from March to April. The tour, titled Me + u, will feature special guests at certain performances! SKY-HI will be attending the Tokyo leg, ACE COLLECTION will attend Osaka’s, and Avantis will be in Aichi! Tickets are currently up for pre-order for FanClub members and tour dates are below!

Mega Shinnosuke Shows Visual Side of Japan With Latest Music Video!

Vocalist Mega Shinnosuke took the one-two punch of not only releasing his latest track “Japan” on all digital platforms but releasing the music video on his official YouTube channel. Directed by Daigo Ando, “Japan” inter-splices unique footage of Japan that equally matches Shinosuke’s lyrical and composition style.

Rei Yasuda Surprises Fans With New Album in Over Four Years!

Japanese pop vocalist Rei Yasuda announced to fans on her regular radio show JA Zennogoku COUNTDOWN JAPAN that she will be bringing her long-awaited album titled Re:I March 18! Re:I will be Rei-san’s first album in over four years and will be her third album overall. It will include all her singles from May 2017 up to November 2019 such as  “Kimi no Uta”, “Sunny”, “blooming”, “over and over/dazzling tomorrow”, and her latest, “Asymmetry”, which was used as the opening theme song for the popular drama Moto Kare Mania. Many of Rei Yasuda’s tunes have been used in popular drama and anime such as Natsume no Yuujin Cho (Kimi no Uta), Layton Mystery Tanteisha-Katori no Nazotoki File- (blooming), Kindaichi Case Files (Passcode 4854), and Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (Mirror), to name a few.

Re:I will be released in two editions, a CD + Blu-ray and a CD-only regular edition and will include a total of 12 tracks. The full track listing for both editions has yet to be determined. However, the CD + Blu-ray limited edtion will come with a 24-page photo book while the CD-only regular edition will include a 16-page photo book. Sangatsu no Pantasia Wades Through Smoke in Latest Music Video!

To celebrate the release of her latest track, vocalist Mia’s solo project Sangatsu no Phantasia released the music video for her track “煙” (“Kemuri”) on her official YouTube channel. It was released digitally on all streaming platforms. Mia teamed up with sound producer n-buna of the band Yorushika to give off the simple alternative rock melody that attunes perfectly to Mia’s soft vocal range. The illustrations throughout the music video are called the Girls Blue series, and  for “Kemuri” Mia described the concept for this piece as “the one time the angel wanted to fly”.
