Polkadot Stingray kicks off fifth anniversary right with new mini-album!

Music Corner alum Polkadot Stingray announced they will be releasing a brand new mini-album January 8. Kicking off the group’s fifth anniversary, this mini-album—which is not yet titled—will be the latest release by the group since their single “Hyper Klaxon” on October 16 and will be their fourth mini-album overall. Featuring six tracks total, it will include popular track “女神” (“Megami”) which is currently being used as the theme song for drama 左ききのエレン (Hidarikiki no Eren).

The mini-album will also be released with only a CD + DVD standard edition and the DVD will include a mini talkshow of the members reflecting on the formation of the band, along with some studio lives. Due to the uniqueness of this footage, the print amount for this release is only 20,000 copies, making this a decently sought-after item for fans of the group. While we wait for the album’s release, check out the music video for “Megami” along with the pre-order link for the album below!

BiS announces second major album

After the release of their latest chart hit, “DEAD OR A LiME”, alternative idol group BiS revealed they will be dropping their second album since their third relaunch. BiS started back in 2010 but has disbanded twice—yet they keep getting back together. BiS reformed for the third time earlier this year and in August they dropped their self-titled album Brand-new Idol Society. Well, showing no signs of slowing down, they are going to drop their next album less than six months after their first: February 5. The new album was co-sponsored with fellow sister group CARRY LOOSE on November 24 at WOMB in Tokyo. No official title has been revealed for the upcoming album.

FAKY unleashes New Age in music!

Japanese four-member pop-dance group FAKY unleashed their latest track “New Age” November 22! They just dropped the music video for the track after releasing teasers for the video featuring each member. Koda Kumi helped write and compose “New Age” for FAKY along with three American writers/composers.

This track serves as the third part in FAKY’s girl power trilogy announced in July of this year, with “Girls Gotta Live” and “Antidote” as the first two. Airi Suzuki unboxes her inner thoughts with new album!

Popular vocalist Airi Suzuki released the cover art for her upcoming album i. Scheduled for release December 18, i will be her latest release since “ESCAPE” back in September and will be her second album overall. The album cover features Suzuki playing a game of “what’s in the box”, and said box contains items or motifs related to the album. The cover was initially released via Suzuki’s Instagram.

As previously reported, i will include tracks such as Suzuki’s first single “Escape” along with “Break it down”, composed by popular band Official HigeDandisim. The album will also be released with twelve tracks and will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a CD + Blu-ray limited edition. The Blu-ray will include footage from Suzuki’s summer tour which took place at Pacifico Yokohama back in June. Check out the music video for her track “IDENTITY” along with the pe-order links for both editions of i below!

FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE show fans just how FANTASTIC they are with first album!

Off the heels of the release of their upcoming single “Time Camera”, vocal dance unit FANTASITICS from EXILE TRIBE announced that they will be releasing their first full album FANTASTIC 9 February 12, 2020.  Set for release with seventeen tracks total, FANTASTIC 9 will include all four previously released singles along with a new lead track also titled “FANTASTIC 9”.

The album will also drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + DVD limited edition, and CD + Blu-ray limited edition. The DVD and Blu-ray will include the previously released music videos along with the music video for “FANTASTIC 9” along with both the making-of and performance of their FANTASTICS SOUND DRAMA FANTASTIC NINE live which took place in Kanagawa this past week.
