THE BEAT GARDEN asks fans to be their Snow White with new music video!

Ahead of its December 4 release, four-member male idol group THE BEAT GARDEN released the music video for their track “Snow White Girl” on Universal Music Japan’s YouTube channel. This will be the latest single from the group since “ぬくもり“ (“Nukumori”) back in June and will be their ninth single overall. Just in time for the holidays, “Snow White Girl” takes a more wintry ballad composition relying on members’ vocal strength. “Snow White Girl” will feature three tracks total and will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include the music video for “Snow White Girl” and the making-of documentary for the single. Check out the music video in question along with pre-order links below!

Wakana shows fans fall cherry blossoms with first EP!

Japanese vocalist, member of FictionJunction, and former member of popular vocal group Kalafina Wakana is set to release her debut EP Aki no Sakura November 20. Aki no Sakura comes hot on the trail of Wakana’s debut solo album which debuted this year in March and follows the release of her tour Wakana Live Tour 2019 -VOICE- at Nakano Sun Plaza which dropped September 25. Aki no Sakura will feature five tracks and comes to us in two beautiful editions, a CD + DVD limited edition and a CD-only regular edition. Sayaka Yamamoto debuts the alpha for solo career!

Before the release of her upcoming single “追憶の光” (“Tsuioku no Hikari”), popular vocalist Sayaka Yamamoto finally divulged more info about her new album. Strategically titled α (Alpha) and scheduled for release December 25, this will be the first album since Yamamoto’s departure from NMB48. α represents a beginning; Yamamoto hopes to use this album as a means for a fresh start following her career as an idol.  Dropping with eleven tracks total, α will include all three previously released singles and will be released with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + DVD limited edition, and a CD + DVD + photo book fan club edition. The DVD will include music video clips of several tracks along with the making-of for lead track “TRUE BLUE”. The fan club edition will also include behind-the-scenes footage of her on location shooting in London.

Music Corner 29: Lovely Summer-chan

Lovely Summer-chan is a singer-songwriter who rose to the music scene back in 2013. Fitting the role of that “cute and cool rock ‘n’ roll gal” audiences might see street preforming in Tokyo, Lovely composes tracks that are calming and mysterious while not trying to reinvent the wheel. She brings a breath of fresh air to the genre that hasn’t seen a refresh since Aimyon a couple years prior. Akin to fellow Music Corner artist She is Summer, Lovely has a simply amazing vocal range that can’t just be defined by one track—and all of her songs she wrote and composed herself. Whether it be matching that smooth like butter R&B style from her track “202”, that bubbly pop style listeners can’t get out of their heads with her track “私の好きなもの” (“Watashi no Sukinamono”), or that more emotional vocal style from “あなたは煙草私はシャボン” (“Anata wa Tabako Watashi wa Shabon”), Lovely shows she’s no one-trick pony.

Currently Lovely Summer-chan has dropped three albums, Bed room no Yume and #Lovely Music from her indie days and LSC from her major label Victor Entertainment. She’s also released one physical single “Ningen no Touchi” in 2017 and one digital single, “Millennium/ You Still Have a Heart of a Young Boy”, which is currently available on Apple Music and Spotify. Lovely’s momentum isn’t stopping anytime soon, as she also found major success with her musical involvement with beverage company Yakuit’s soy milk commercial “吸収しやすいワタナベマユ” (“Kyushu Shiyasui Watanabe Mayu”) in 2018 and web drama Wednesday Girlfriend～水曜日の図書館～ (Suiyoubi no Toshokan) from computer company Fujitsu in 2019.

Haruka Tomatsu gives us a Resolution in new single!

Popular Japanese seiyuu, vocalist, and member of four-member seiyuu group Sphere Haruka Tomatsu is giving us a resolution in her upcoming single that will be released November 20! The track, “Resolution”, is featured as the intro theme song for the anime Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld and Haruka-san also happens to provide the voice of Asuna in the Sword Art Online franchise.

“Resolution” will be coming to us in three editions: a CD + DVD limited edition, CD-only regular edition, and CD + DVD limited anime edition. The CD + DVD limited edition will come with the music video for “Resolution” while the CD + DVD limited anime edition will feature the credit-less opening to Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld and will include exclusive anime cover artwork.
