Urbangarde brings in the new year with new album

Rock band Urangarde announced their tenth album, TOKYOPOP, which will be dropping January 1, 2020. Nobu Nozomi left the group in March of 2018 and this will be the first album released since Urbangarde became a three-member rock band. TOKYOPOP will feature new songs along with remixed sound sources by other artists. There will be two editions total, a standard edition and a limited edition. Pre-orders are up and posted.

Ryo Nishikido breaks off as his own artist!

Stepping out on his own and making a name for himself, former member of Kanjani8 Ryo Nishikido wasted no time continuing his career; he formed not only a brand new label called NOMAD RECORDS but will also be releasing a brand new album also titled NOMAD December 11. Nishikido commented on the label’s name, stating that he’s starting over from scratch with nothing but his name just like a nomad and he is building up from there. “I would also like to be on the same level as my fans and will do all I can to meet every one of them,” Nishikido expresses. “I will also be performing in live houses, a first for my career. This way, fans can see the true me.” As stated, Nishkido will hold his first live tour, simply titled RYO NISHIKIDO LIVE TOUR 2019 "NOMAD”, to be held all across Japan throughout the month of November leading up to the release of the album.

Unfortunately no further news has been revealed for NOMAD at this time but we shall update you guys when there is! In the meantime check out the announcement video below!

vivid undress hopes to make New Waves with new album!

Five-member pop rock band vivid undress announced that they will be releasing a brand new album,  混在ニューウェーブ (Konsai New Wave), December 4. This will be the latest release from the band since their mini-album 赤裸々 (Sekirara) back in January. Konsai New Wave will also be the band’s major label debut with Tokuma Japan Communications and will be used to bring new fans up to speed on vivid undress’s greatest hits. The album will be released with ten tracks total and drop with only a CD-only standard edition.

vivid undress also announced that they will be holding a small one-man live tour to celebrate their major label debut. Lovingly called メジャー突入!! ～出会えたんだ～ONEMAN TOUR (Major Totsunyu! ~Deaetanda~ ONEMAN TOUR, the live tour will be spread from January to March (schedule at right).

BiS welcomes new member

Alternative idol group BiS revealed their latest member, Zuzu Death. BiS announced they were looking for new members during their first one-man live THiS is BiS held back in August. It has not yet been revealed when Zuzu will be joining the group on stage but the production team has already released an image of Zuzu with the usual BiS treatment. Since their reformation back in 2016 BiS has had seven members and Zuzu Death is the eighth. We here at Ongaku To You wish Zuzu Death the best in her new group.

Yui Ogura shows that her Destiny isn't set in stone with new music video!

Popular voice actress-turned-vocalist Yui Ogura released a preview for her song “Destiny” on her official YouTube channel. “Destiny” will be released October 30 and will be Ogura’s tenth single overall.  The track is also set to be the opening theme for upcoming sci-fi anime Z/X Code reunion which Ogura will also star in. Written by Asuka Oda and composed by Noriyasu Agematsu of Elements Garden, ”Destiny” is similar to Ogura’s debut track “Raise” and her seventh single “Future Strike” and will be a rock-infused song.

“Destiny” will manifest in two editions, a standard CD-only edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include both the full music video for “Destiny” and its making-of. The standard edition, however, will include the anime edited version of the song.
