KEYTALK announces first album under Universal

Four-member rock band KEYTALK revealed they will be releasing their very first album since transferring to Universal, scheduled for November 6. The brand new album does not have a title yet but it will contain the band’s recent hit “Bubble-Gum Magic” and “La La Rhapsody”. The album is being released in three editions, a standard and two limited editions, Types A and B. The standard edition will be CD-only while limited edition Type B will also be CD-only and limited edition type A will include both a CD and DVD. The Type A edition will feature excerpts from the final of Shinkankaku KEYTALK Awamitai ni Hajikeru Tour - Suzushiku Naroze!! Babobabo - and some other goodies while B will come with a randomly selected rubber band. Pre-orders are currently available and posted below.

Polkadot Stingray shows their intensity with first live tour release!

Music Corner alumnus Polkadot Stingray announced they will be releasing their first Live DVD/Blu-ray, 「Polkadot Stingray 2019 Uchouten Tour Final PoruFes 45 # Kakattekoiyou Budokan」, November 13. The footage of the live tour was taken from their one-band live from the Tokyo Budokan portion of their Uchouten live tour back in July and will also include music videos for “7” and “Midori”. Polkadot Stingray will also drop a limited edition version of the live that will include a CD audio rip version of the concert. 

In anticipation of the release check out footage of their track “Love Call” which will also be featured on the live release!

Qyoto wants snow in the summer

Six-member pop band Qyoto revealed they will be dropping their fifth single titled “Hana Shigure / Natsu no Yuki” which will be dropped September 25. The single will also feature the theme song for the science fiction drama The Space-Time Detective Oyu Oedo Scientific Investigation which is titled “Hana Shigure”.  Also, the song “Natsu no Yuki” will be used as the second ending for the drama series Na mo naki fukushū-sha ZEGEN.

“Hana Shigure / Natsu no Yuki” is being released in two editions, a standard edition and a limited edition. The standard edition will be CD-only and the limited edition will include a CD and bonus DVD. The CD will feature five tracks total, including the two tracks mentioned earlier, along with another song titled “Boku no ikite iru imi” and the instrumental versions for “Natsu no Yuki” and “Hana Shigure”. Now for the DVD it will feature the music video for “Hana Shigure” and the making of for that video. Pre-orders are up and posted here and the full track listing will be posted at the bottom.

IZ*ONE show fans their fangs with new single!

After the successful release of their single “Buenos Aires”, Yasushi Akimoto’s J-pop-K-pop hybrid group IZ*ONE announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “Vampire”, September 25. The announcement came as a surprise via the group’s special fan event for “Buenos Aires” which took place this past weekend. Not much is known about the single except that it will drop with at least two CD + DVD editions simply titled Type A and Type B; however, it is not known at this time whether or not it will include member exclusive editions as “Buenos Aires” did.

Female idol group EMPiRE released more details of their next single which is set to drop October 16. This follows their recent top ten single “SUCCESS STORY” which came out July 17. Their next single will be titled “RIGHT NOW” and its release event started August 10 at Hiroshima Station underground plaza. This single is being released in two editions total, a standard edition and a limited edition. The standard will be CD-only but the limited edition will include a CD, Blu-ray, and a cassette tape. The Blu-ray will feature the group’s one-man live performance from June 9 at SHINJUKU BLAZE NEW EMPiRE TOUR SEMi-FiNAL along with a music video and making-of. Pre-orders are currently available and links are posted here along with a full track listing.
