FAKY coming to Otakuthon 2019

Five-member alternative girl pop group FAKY announced they will be performing at this year’s Otakuthon August 16. This performance will come after their appearance at Anime Friends in Brazil where they got to premiere their latest song “GIRLS GOTTA LIVE”. This marked the first time FAKY has made an appearance at this festival held in Brazil.

FAKY have an extensive background working in the anime industry. They got started back in 2013 under Avex and from conception they have aimed to have a very broad, mainstream appeal. In the video posted below you can see the members of the group making the announcement with two members speaking in very clean, easy to understand English.

Otakuthon takes place in Montreal, Canada and has been up and running since 2006. FAKY’s performance will be in room 210 and cost an extra $20 USD on top of the convention entry fee. You can find more information here if you are interested in attending.

Written by drummer RINA and composed by guitarist MAMI, “Fuzzy” takes a more energetic approach toward the summer love song trope and infuses it with a perfect blend of Scandal’s style.
