Legend Katsuhisa Hattori announces new album

Historic composer Katsuhisa Hattori revealed he will be releasing his twenty-second album September 25 bearing the title Ongakubatake 22 The Final?. Hattori, who is eighty-two years old, began working in the music business sixty years ago and Ongakubatake 22 The Final? is being released to help to commemorate this. Hattori is a composer who specializes in classical music and over the course of his career has contributed to several works in the film and anime industry, tackling titles such as Fist of the North Star 1986 film and all three Banner of the Stars anime. 

Ongakubatake 22 The Final? will be released in a standard edition only which will simply inclulde a CD but will feature five never before released songs. You can pre-order your copy of the album here. This album comes five years after Hattori’s last release and let’s hope it’s one to remember.

A.B.C-Z shows us how to go to the Zephyr in latest album preview!

Popular five-member group A.B.C-Z announced that they will be releasing a brand new album titled Going with Zephyr August 7. This will the latest album from the group since VS 5 back in May of last year and will be their sixth album overall. Going with Zephyr will be used to commemorate the group’s tenth year in the music industry and the group decided to go all-out with promoting the album, with two music digests previewing several tracks on the album. Along with the digests, A.B.C-Z also dropped a music video preview for the album’s lead sang “Crush On You” on their official YouTube channel.

The album will drop with thirteen tracks total and will be released in three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two CD + DVD limited editions, Type A and Type B. Type A will include the music video for “Crush On You” along with its Making Of. Type B will not only include an additional track titled “Rinne” but also the music video of said track along with the member produced documentary of the making of the track. To incite envy in fans who only purchased the standard edition, it will include an additional two tracks titled “Sweet Addiction” and “二人で歩こう” (“Futari de Arukou”).

BLUE ENCOUNT spills the beans on their Bad Paradox!

As previously announced, popular four-member rock band BLUE ENCOUNT announced that they will be releasing a brand new single “Bad Paradox” September 11. This time around the band gave us more details about the release and dropped the lyric music video for their track “Bad Paradox” on their official YouTube channel. The single will be available in two editions, a standard CD-only edition and a CD + DVD edition. The limited edition will include an additional track titled “Gibbs” and the DVD will include footage from their HALL TOUR 2019 apartment of SICK(S) at Nakano Sun Plaza which took place in June—a documentary will also be included. The standard edition will include “Bad Paradox” along with the live version of their track “VS” and “もっと光を” (“Motto Hikari wo”) from the Nakano Hall Tour.

Asaka touches the heart

Up-and-coming vocalist Asaka revealed she will be releasing her very first album October 7 titled Heart Touch. What makes October 7 so special is that it will be Asaka’s twentieth birthday. The leading song on the album will be “Raise Your Heart”  which was composed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s Tomoya Tabuchi and arranged by PENGUIN RESEARCH’s Shota Horie, with lyrics co-written by Asaka and Tomoya Tabuchi. Also on the album will be Asaka’s previously released singles which were all used in various anime productions.

Heart Touch is being released in two editions, a standard edition and a limited edition. The standard edition will incluldeh a CD and will feature a randomly selected autographed photo (from five variations). The limited edition will include a CD, Blu-ray, and one of the randomly selected autographed photos. Also, in honor of Asaka’s birthday and her new album, there will be a live show October 6 at EX THEATER ROPPONGI, Tokyo which will be titled Asaka 20th Birthday Live ~EVE~.

Naz flaunts her powerful vocals once again with new music video!

Just in time for her debut EP “JUQCY”, Okinawa-born vocalist Naz dropped the music video for her track “Clear Skies” on her official YouTube channel. “Clear Skies” is composed by Tomita himself with Lori Fine of unit COLDFEET as writer, and it puts Naz’s powerful English vocals as a focal point with an artistic designs flashing between scenes.

As previously reported, Keiichi Tomita, along with several members of his music production team WONK, will produce—with Naz taking writing duties—two of the tracks on the single. “JUQCY” will drop with five tracks total.
