Sakanaction brings listeners back to the 80s with latest music video!

After the successful release of their latest album 834.194, five-member rock band Sakanaction dropped the music video for the album’s lead song,. “わすれられないの” (“Wasurerarenaino”), on their official YouTube channel.

“Wasurerarenaino” is currently being used in cellular company SoftBank’s 速度制限マン (Sokudo Seigen Man) set of commercials, which also stars lead singer Ichiro Yamaguchi (see right). Yamaguchi commented on the make and feel of the track, saying that the music video was based on the simple idea of bringing the nostalgic feel of the 80s into the style of today. That look and feel of the 80s can be seen front and center with iconic trends and fashion of the era being featured throughout the video. The tempo also features a bass heavy composition which was prominent in hits during that time.

As reported before, 834.194 was released with three different editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions simply titled Type A and Type B which include a Blu-ray and DVD respectively. Included on both Blu-ray and DVD will be Sakanaction’s ten year anniversary concert in Tokyo’s Shin Kiba Studio Coast live house, with the Blu-ray also including several music videos that will be on the album itself.
