GLAY shows fans a peek of just how fine they are!

Long-running four-member rock band GLAY dropped a short teaser for their upcoming song “JUST FINE” on their official YouTube channel. Attached to the single “G4・V-Democracy 2019-“ dropping July 2, “JUST FINE” is looking to be another amazing piece written by the legendary guitarist TAKURO and is currently the opening theme for popular baseball anime Ace of Diamond act II. Having unveiled “Teaser Part1”, GLAY will be tempting fans with new teasers everyday until the release of the full music video.

“G4・V-Democracy 2019-“ will be used as the first part in the group’s anniversary series for their twenty-fifth year in the music industry. The single will drop with four tracks and include not only “JUST FINE” but also “COLORS”, which is the insert song for the upcoming theatrical version of FINAL FANTASY XIV Dad of Light, and “YOUR SONG”, which will feature popular vocalist MISIA.

The single will be released with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a CD +DVD limited edition. The DVD will include not only the music video for “JUST FINE” and “COLORS” but also the Making Of that GLAY did in Hawaii.

Uru brings power to fans for first 2020 concert!

Popular vocalist Uru announced that she will be releasing her brand new single “願い” (“Negai”) September 11. This will be the latest release by Uru since her single “Prologue” back in December of last year and will her eighth single overall. “Negai” will also be used as the ending theme for the highly anticipated sci-fi anime Ganblem airing July 5 which, as previously reported, Eir Aoi will also be doing the opening theme for. Uru commented that she hopes fans will be able enjoy “Negai” no matter where they go. The single will release with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + DVD limited edition, and a CD + Blu-ray Anime Edition.

Uru also announced that she will be performing a one-woman live in the famed Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo February 29 of next year. Loving titled Uru Live『Precious One day ~Uru-u Year 2020~』, this live will be mostly fan driven as its entire track list will be determined by fans. INTERSECTION surprises fans with announcement of first album!

After the release of their latest single “You’re the Reason”, four-member boy group INTERSECTION announced that they will be dropping their first album in August. The news came as a surprise announcement during their first fan club event in SEL OCTAGON TOKYO this past weekend. The group told fans to look forward to more news about the album at a later date. 

Along with the exciting news of the album, INTERSECTION also dropped the music video for “You’re the Reason” on their official YouTube channel. The video features the boys roughing it in various parts of Los Angeles, singing in a blend of English and Japanese to make fans of the genre swoon over them in an instant. Check it out below!

Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON has returned safely home!

We originally reported that Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON fame went missing this past weekend. According to Meshida’s family, no one had been able to contact him since June 5 and his family filed a missing person’s report for Meshida.

It was reported that Meshida returned safely home on the evening of the 15th and has been under care with family since then. Meshida’s bandmates visited him the day following his return and were told that he suffered no injuries. KANA-BOON will hold a meeting when Meshida returns to the band—at a later date.

As mentioned previously, KANA-BOON originally had a concert scheduled this past weekend to celebrate five years together, but due to the unfortunate circumstances the concert was canceled. We here at Ongaku To You send out our thoughts and prayers for Meshida’s well-being and hope for a speedy recovery.

LINX finds its treasure

Blues/rock band LINX has officially announced their second mini-album titled Treasure Box which will be released July 24. Treasure Box is being released three years after the band’s first mini-album Shake It Now. According to the band, all of the songs on this latest release are more energetic and passionate than on Shake It Now, which will make this album “the ultimate treasure box”.

Treasure Box will be released in a single edition and be CD-only. Treasure Box has a total of four tracks that will be on the CD. One of the tracks, “Start It Over”, has already been released on YouTube to help to promote the upcoming album. You can find a complete track listing at the bottom of this page.
