Maaya Uchida cheers on Diamond no Ace players in teaser for new single!

Diamond in Ace: Act II

Popular voice actress-turned-singer Maaya Uchida dropped the teaser for her latest single “鼓動エスカレーション” (“Kodo Escalator”) on YouTube. Dropping July 10, “Kodo Escalator” will be the latest single by Uchida since “youthful beautiful” in October of last year and is currently the ending theme for popular baseball anime Diamond no Ace: Act II. “Kodo Escalator” will be composted by legendary anime composer Tom-H@ck -who has composed most of the tracks in the series as a whole. The single will feature four tracks and come in two different editions: a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition which will include the music video for “Kodo Escalator” among several unannounced videos.

m-flo takes listeners into a portal of new sounds with a new single!

After the release of their latest song “STRSTRK” three-member Hip-hop/ R&B group m-flo announced that they will be dropping a brand new e.p. called “mortal portal e.p.” on July 3. “mortal portal e.p” will be the latest physical release by m-flo since “the tripod e.p. 2” back in March of last year. The e.p. will release three tracks—previously released track STRSTRK and MARS DRIVE along with brand new track EKTO. All three tracks will also have both an instrumental and acapella version, with EKTO having an additional remix done by up-and-coming DJ SASUKE making “mortal portal e.p.” the definitive single for fans.

“mortal portal e.p.” will release with two different editions: a CD-only and CD+DVD limited editions. The DVD will include both the music video for “EKTO” and “STRSTRK”.

Sanari announces first tour!

Sixteen-year-old rapper Sanari is going on his very first national tour toward the end of the year. The official tour dates span from October 19 to November 17 and six different venues will be visited. The official title of the tour shares the name of Sanari’s very first album SICKSTEEN, which is set to be released June 5. The official list of all dates and locations will be listed here.

SICKSTEEN will be released in a single edition which will be CD-only and come with a total of eleven tracks. You can check out the full track listing along with the pre-order below.

KOTOKO looking to reawaken fans with new album!

Vocalist KOTOKO announced that she’ll be releasing a brand new album titled tears cyclone -醒-(Sei) June 26. The album will be the companion piece to tears cyclone-廻- (Kai), released last June, and it will be the last release to commemorate KOTOKO’s fifteen years in the music industry. Leaning toward a more emotional theme of “tears and awaking”, KOTOKO employed the creative team I’ve once again to help to cultivate the project.

tears cyclone -Sei- will drop with two editions: a standard CD-only edition along with a limited CD + Blu-ray edition. The Blu-ray will include KOTOKO’s one-woman live tour performance which took place at Tokyo’s TSUTAYA O-EAST back last September.

Shin Tamura announces solo debut in the music industry!

Theater actor Shin Tamura announced that he signed with King Records and will make his major debut release July 31. He is more famously known as Yoshiyuki Mutsunokami in the popular Toukenranbu stage show and Izuku Midoriya in the upcoming My Hero Academia stage show.

Tamura commented on his debut, saying that while he is nervous about it he believes in his singing abilities and looks forward to this new “battle” that is the music industry.

The single, which is untitled at the time of this writing, will feature two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a CD + photo book limited edition.
