Last Idol shakes things up for upcoming sixth single!

Yasushi Akimoto-produced group Last Idol announced that they will release a brand new single titled “大人サバイバー” (“Otona Survival”), set for release April 17. “Otona Survival” will be the group’s sixth single and will feature all fifty-two members from the group. 

Per the norm for Akimoto-released groups, the single will be released through various editions, including a CD-only standard edition and three CD + DVD limited editions simply titled Type A, B, and C. Included on the DVD will be not only the music video for “Otona Survival” but the group’s one year anniversary concert in the fabled TOKYO DOME CITY HALL, which took place last December. Only various songs will be featured on the different limited editions, however.

go!go!vanilla kicks it up a notch with announcement of new album!

Four-member high energy rock band go!go!vanilla announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, THE WORLD, set for release May 15. 

Included on THE WORLD are twelve tracks including their latest song “Change Your World” along with “No.999”, the ending theme for the hit anime GeGeGe no Kitaro. The album will also include two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a CD + DVD limited edition, the latter of which will not only include a bonus thirteenth track titled “少女A” (“Shojou A”) but a copy of their 秋のハーベストツアー～野音狩り編～(Aki no ha best tour ~ Yaon kari-hen ~ one-band live which go!go!vanilla did last September. Dizzy Sunfist announces their newest single in two years!

​Three-member punk rock and Indie Corner band Dizzy Sunfist announced that they will be releasing a brand new single titled “STRONGER”, scheduled for release June 5. This announcement comes off of Dizzy Sunfist’s tenth anniversary one-man live tour and its release will be dovetailed with the anniversary.

“STRONGER” will be the latest release from the band since their first album DREAMS NEVER END back in January of last year and will be Dizzy Sunfist’s second single. Unfortunately the single will only release with a CD-only standard edition.

MONSTA X shoots fifth Japanese single out!

Seven-member Korean pop boy group MONSTA X is firing their fifth Japanese single Shoot Out, set to drop May 27!! Not only is Shoot Out their fifth Japanese single but their first single of 2019. Title track Shoot Out is a Japanese version of a song on their Korean album Take 1. Are you there? MONSTA X: Vol 2. B-side track “FLASH BACK”, on the other hand, will be an original Japanese song. Shoot Out will have three different versions including two limited editions. Type A will contain a DVD with the music video and the Making-of for the title track. Type B will come housed in LP-sized packaging with a random alternate cover chosen from seven different kinds. Type C is the standard edition which will come with one of fifteen different trading cards.

lol shows off different side with latest music video!

Ahead of their latest single, five-member co-ed pop idol group lol dropped the second music video for their upcoming double A-side single. The new single will be released March 20 and is titled “Sayonara No Kisetsu”. The music video for “Sayonara No Kisetsu” was released February 16. On March 11, avex decided to go ahead and release the second music video, this time for “lolli-lolli”.

“lolli-lolli” is a much more rap heavy song than what lol is typically know for. Frontman Yusuke and main rapper for lol Honaka take center stage in this new music video taking place during an epic house party. Yusuke has only rapped in a couple of songs throughout his career with lol but in “lolli-lolli” he really shines here.

There is a standard CD-only edition and a second edition which comes with both a CD and a DVD.
