Indie Corner Week 21: Chapman

Chapman is a four-member neo soul band originally formed as an acoustic duo in 2013, the rest of its members forming in 2018. They conjure up an interesting crossover of soul and Japanese style pop music. Keyboardist Jyuisha’s hypnotic melody takes the listener for a ride that redefines soul style music.  Their song “I’m just a kind man” flaunts vocalist Yutaka’s soft vocals that mesh well with the band’s overall chemistry.

This August the band released the music video for “I’m just a kind man”—their first music video—along with the announcement of an EP coming out by year’s end.

Aldious Shows Thier Band’s Bond With Their Upcoming Mini-Album

Five-member girls band Aldious announce a new mini-album, “ALL BROSE”, being released on November 21. “ALL BROSE” will the first album the group has done since last years “We Are” mini-album. “ALL BROSE” will also release with four tracks total which all the members collaborated together to make.

Miyu Oshiro Previews Her Upcoming Debut Album!

Vocalist Miyu Oshiro dropped the trailer on Crown Record official YouTube channel for her upcoming major debutmini-album, “MI-POSITION”, being released on October 10. “MI-POSITION” will release with seven tracks total.

LiSA Announces New Single!

Vocalist LiSA announced a brand new double a-side single, “赤い罠(who loves it?)” (“Akai Wana”) /ADAMAS, being released on December 12. “赤い罠” will be written by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN bassist Tomoya Tabuchi and produced by PENGUIN RESEARCH bassist Shouta Horie. “ADAMAS” will also be use as the opening for Sword Art Online, and is also produced Shouta Horie.

Kana Nishino second best album announced!!

Female vocalist and upcoming number two pop singer Kana Nishino has announced a second best of album. There will be two editions and are a continuation of her Love Collection series.  The titles are  Love Collection 2 -mint-  and Love Collection 2 -pink-. It will be released in a  different editions, a two CD only editions, two CD+DVD editions and as a bundle for “mint and pink” together. You can pre-order her newest album here.
