Mariya Takeuchi Returns After Small Hiatus!

Industry veteran Mariya Takeuchi announced a brand new brand new single, “小さな願い / 今を生きよう（Seize the Day” (“Chisana Onegai/ Ima wo Ikiyou”), being released on October 17. The single will be used to commemorate her 40th year in the music industry. Also to commemorate such a monumental achievement, Takeuchi announced a remaster of her debut album titled  BEGINNING（40周年リマスター仕様)  (BEGINNING (FOURTY YEARS REMASTER, being released on November 21.

Yuma Uchida Releases New Music Video!

Vocalist Yuma Uchida drops the music video for his latest single, “Before Dawn”, on his official YouTube channel. “Before Dawn” being released on September 19, and will release with a limited edition DVD that will include the music video and making off. sticking to the title of the song the music video shows Uchida dancing as dawn arises.

FOOL THE PUBLIC Announces New Album!

Indie three-man punk band FOOL THE PUBLIC announced a brand new album, Lightship, being released on October 3 and had released a trailer for the album on their official YouTube page. Lightship will release with 10 tracks total, and comes off the heels of their single “I’m in Love” previously released back in February.

XOX Announces New Single!

Six-member boy group XOX announced a brand new single, “Chroma/ 上海ハニー” (“Shanghai Honey”), being released on October 17. “Shanghai Honey” is a cover of the famous ORANGE RANGE song and was previously only released digitally back in July.

Also announced was brand new live tour called, “XOX LIVE TOUR 2018-2019 (THE ONE)”, starting in November and continuing on till January of the following year.

Indie Corner Week 17: Hiromi

Hiromi is a R&B female vocalist & songwriter who has been in the music industry since 2006. She is a veteran artist with a wide vocal range capabilities, in which she has earned the title of "Rainbow Voice". Most of her songs mix incorporate English with Japanese into them which makes for the perfect combination Her beautiful, smooth, and colorful voice. The newest tune "Kimi ga Itemo, Inakutemo" is a mid temp R&B song with a catchy beat and chorus which skillfully incorporates her rainbow vocals. 

Hiromi has a pretty extensive discography. Two physical mini albums, True Colors released in 2008 and Phenomenon released in 2017. Four studio albums, RAINBOW released in 2009, MAGIC in 2011, HONESTY in 2012, and finally INCOMPLETE -Traces of 5 Years- released back in 2013. She also has two best albums, BEST-MY SELECT- AND BEST-FAN SELECT-  both which was released in 2015. A collaboration album, BEST COLLABORATIONS released in 2013, which was a Tsutaya records exclusive. One live album, 5 Shuunen Live -INCOMPLETE- in Shibuya released back in 2014. With two physical singles, "Aisaretai" released back in 2009 and "PARTNER" in 2013. Also, she has several digital singles. Most of her releases are available on iTunes and Apple Music. Hiromi is a popular name, so look for her specific album titles.
