Thai Superstar STAMP Collaborates with Japanese Band Awesome City Club in Latest Release!

As a huge fan of Japanese culture, Thai superstar STAMP has released a new single in collaboration with Japanese male/female twin-vocal band Awesome City Club. “move on feat. Awesome City Club” is out today across all digital music streaming platforms, along with a music video. The song carries the message that while life brings good times and bad times, we should face the future and walk forward together. In these dark days when the news can feel overwhelming, it’s a comforting song to warm your spirit.

This is Awesome City Club’s first collaboration with an artist from outside Japan. On the second chorus, you can even hear band members atagi and PORIN singing in Thai for the first time, a rare treat that’s worth listening out for.

A music video was also released today. The video combines footage of STAMP that was shot in Thailand and footage of Awesome City Club filmed in Japan. It shows various scenes of a woman’s “stay home” lifestyle in a one-room apartment, with appearances here and there from STAMP and Awesome City Club. The video carries the message that music is always with us, through good times and bad.

FAKY Kicks Off "atmos pink x Crocs Summer Festival '' Online Live Event!

Popular girl group FAKY was the 1st to perform on "atmos pink × Crocs Summer Festival" online live event on 2nd August held by Atmos Pink, a sneaker select shop for women developed by Crocs Japan. Crocs is a casual footwear brand that develops a rich lineup that suits every lifestyle, this event is a limited-time pop-up event held from July 31st (Sat) to August 9th (Mon).

In the performances, the members first introduced the original Crocs made using the Jibbitz ™ charm where people can express their personality according to their lifestyle using Crocs then continues to perform songs from the “Girls Power” dance medley (GIRLS GOTTA LIVE ~ ANTIDOTE ~ NEW AGE) to the middle ballad "Take my hand" which was selected as the theme song of Hulu's original drama "A Devil and Her Love Song" was performed beautifully which shows the extraordinary ability and sense of the five members that causes the online audience to be excited and shower them with comments such as “They’re so amazing that my hands tremble!”, “I took more than 100 screenshots”, and “I want Crocs”.

BALLISTIK BOYZ Brings the Heat with Latest Music Video!

On August 2, BALLISTIK BOYZ release new single “SUM BABY”, a breezy tune about finding love in the heat of summer. The release is accompanied by a music video. Ever since their formation in April 2018, Japanese dance and vocal group BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE have had their sights set on global activity.

The group is made up of seven extremely talented members who perform physically demanding acrobatic dance routines while singing into handheld mics. Several of the members are bilingual, and they have appeared on stages outside of Japan and around Southeast Asia, thanks to their performance skills that could rival any top-tier global artist. “SUM BABY” is the latest release from this exciting multicultural group from Japan.

This is the second summer tune from BALLISTIK BOYZ, following the release in August 2020 of hit single “SUMMER HYPE”. Featuring a different vibe than the energetic summer party tune “SUMMER HYPE”, “SUM BABY” boasts a catchy melody and lyrics that celebrate the possibilities of a summer where something special could happen. The two summer songs each have different styles that are fun to listen to and compare.

On August 4, a physical version of “SUM BABY” will be released as both a standalone CD and a CD+DVD set. The CD features four songs including ‘SUM BABY’ as well as “Chasin’”, which was written and composed by BALLISTIK BOYZ members Rikiya Okuda, Riki Matsui and Ryusei Kainuma. The DVD features the “SUM BABY” music video, footage from this year’s BALLISTIK BOYZ PROLOGUE LIVE TOUR 2021 “PASS THE MIC” ~WAY TO THE GLORY~ headline tour, as well as documentary footage that follows the members on tour. The DVD also includes an interview with the members reflecting on the headline hall tour that had been planned take BALLISTIK BOYZ across all corners of Japan throughout the whole of 2020, but which was unfortunately cut short in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.

BiSH Stacks Against the Odds with Latest Release!

Popular Idol girls group BiSH known as “the punk band without musical instruments” – have released “STACKiNG”, the opening theme song to the second season of anime series Kingdom, which began broadcasting on July 18. The single is available digitally now, and will be followed by a new album on August 4.

The rock sound and powerful vocals on “STACKiNG” are typical of BiSH, and the layer of emotional strings results in a song that perfectly captures the epic vibe of the anime series. A music video for “STACKiNG” was also released, which had been highly anticipated since a teaser video was released two days earlier. The video was directed by Masaki Okita, whose numerous previous BiSH videos include “Orchestra” and “Life is Beautiful”. The video for “STACKiNG” offers a nostalgic trip to a past version of Japan, with the members of BiSH in a variety of eye-catching outfits and locations.

The limited edition first print of BiSH’s fourth major-label album GOiNG TO DESTRUCTiON, released on Wednesday, August 4, will include the making of the “STACKiNG” video, packed with comments from the members and behind-the-scenes footage. Fans won’t want to miss this special video.

Rediscover Influential Post-YMO Electronica Unit SKETCH SHOW Complete Album Collection!

SKETCH SHOW – the influential electronica duo that features ex-YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA members Yukihiro Takahashi and Haruomi Hosono – are set to re-release all three of their early-2000s studio albums in a complete package on September 22.

As a new unit starring the two ex-members of YMO and sometimes also featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto as a guest, SKETCH SHOW were embraced by music fans from the release of their 2002 debut album “audio sponge”. The duo quickly followed up with “tronika” and “LOOPHOLE” in 2003, and performed at major festivals in Japan and around the world, including WIRE02, sonar 2003, CYBERSONICA’03 and SUMMER SONIC 2004, before winding down in 2005. The members then regrouped with Sakamoto under the name Human Audio Sponge (HAS), before changing the name to HASYMO and then returning to the name YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA for a European tour in 2008. Preceding the return of the beloved pioneering group, SKETCH SHOW played an important part in both YMO history and music culture. In July 2021, “audio sponge”, “tronika” and “LOOPHOLE” were individually reissued on 12-inch vinyl, sparking renewed interest among young music fans and artists alike.

On September 22, the three albums will be released as collections in two variations: the Standard Edition, which includes “audio sponge”, “tronika” and “LOOPHOLE” on CD; and a first-pressing limited Deluxe Edition that comes packaged in a special slipcase box.

In addition to the three CDs, the Deluxe Edition will also include a DVD of WILD SKETCH SHOW -SKETCH SHOW LIVE 2002-, which was originally released in 2003. This live concert video was filmed in December 2002 at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo and is full of exciting highlights – it features guest appearances from Ryuichi Sakamoto and Keigo Oyamada (Cornelius), as well as covers of “Pure Jam” and “CUE” by YMO and “Paraiso” by Haruomi Hosono and the Yellow Magic Band. The set also includes a booklet containing a conversation between Takahashi and Hosono, in which they discuss everything from the formation of the group to behind-the-scenes production anecdotes to the very nature of SKETCH SHOW itself.

Even now, nearly 20 years since the release of their last original album “LOOPHOLE”, SKETCH SHOW are still connecting with music fans and artists. With this complete edition of their albums, listeners will be able to retrace the footsteps of a group of musicians who made a lasting impact on the scene, despite their short period of activity.
