Soraru Brings A New Palette with Upcoming Album!

Vocalist Soraru announced that he will be releasing a brand new album, ゆめをきかせて (Yume wo Kikasete), September 29. This is Soraru's latest release since his album Wonder which dropped back in July of 2019 and it will be his fourth album overall. The upcoming work includes songs provided by various Vocaloid artists including the song "Blue Palette" by Kanaria, which is being made available across digital streaming platforms. To hype the release, Soraru also released the music video for “Blue Palette” on his YouTube channel. 

The album will drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions which will come with a bonus DVD. The limiteds are lovingly titled Types A and B, with Type A featuring footage from prior live concerts along with several music videos and Type B including Soraru’s latest studio live session.

Xavier Brings the One Two Punch with their Debut LP!

“Call In Sick/ Cue-Tie” Jacket Cover

Newly formed power group Xavier announced that they will be debuting with a brand new vinyl, “Call In Sick/ 球体 (Cue-Tie)” September 15. Xavier is a new collaborative project by three heavyweight musicians - guitarist Masayuki Ishii who was a mainstay of city-pop outfit The Chang, as well as TICA and Gabby & Lopez, ZAK a sound engineer and has worked with Fishmans, BOREDOMS, Ryuichi Sakamoto among others and Yumiko Ohno, the bassist of the ever sonically transforming Buffalo Daughter, and long-term collaborator with Cornelius. In a series of singles, they will be working with guests who in their own projects have been chasing after spirits of J-pop perfection. The first of these works will feature chelmico, a rap duo fronted by Rachel and Mamiko who had a hit single with ”Easy Breezy”, the theme for popular anime series Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken. The B side features Moeka Shiozuka, the guitarist and vocalist of Hitsuji Bungaku. 

"Call In Sick" is composed by Ishii with chelmico taking over the duties of lyrics and vocal melodies. It's a mesmeric dance single full of 80s electro-funk flair, groove-carving bass hooks and chelmico's trademark one-two punch quick-witted rapping. The B-side Cue-Tie (Sphere)" features guest vocals from Moeka Shiozuka whose towering voice resonates deeply with a moving ballad that glimmers with shoegaze progressions and orbs of morning dew. The cover artwork by trendsetting illustrator Mayu Yukishita is another highlight and rounds off a single showcasing the creative heartbeat of contemporary artists in Japan.

Ryuji Imaichi Brings the Forbidden Love With His Latest Music Video!

Ahead of his upcoming album, vocalist Ryuji Imaichi of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS from EXILE TRIBE released the music video for his track ”FUTURE LOVERS” on his YouTube channel. "FUTURE LOVERS" is the lead song of the album CHAOS CITY which will be released July 21. The track was inspired by artist Hajime Sorayama's work "Sexy Robot". Imaichi wrote the lyrics on the theme of forbidden love between robots and humans and geared the song to be reminiscent of the 1980s.

This album is Imaichi's third solo album and a conceptual work that unfolds various stories set in "CHAOS CITY”. The artist hopes to explore various genres using this unique theme. The album will also come with five editions: three standard editions which are CD-only and will come with a bonus DVD/ Blu-ray. The limited edition will also come with a bonus DVD/ Blu-ray along with photo book.

Koda Kumi Lets Fans Know It Will Be Ok with Upcoming Release!

Superstar Koda Kumi announced that she will be releasing a brand new single, “We’ll Be Ok” on July 28th across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release done by the vocalist since “angeL[MY NAME IS...] / monsteR[MY NAME IS…]” back in December of last year and will her first music release of 2021. This single will be part one of a three single consecutive release ending in September. The first single, "We'll Be OK", is a song with a positive message that pushes the backs of people who are in doubt. The lyrics were written by Koda himself. Part two and three will be released on August 18th as "Doo-Bee-Doo-Bop" and on September 8th as "to be free".

Sayaka Yamamoto Brings Wonderment With Upcoming Release!

Vocalist Sayaka Yamamoto announced that she will be releasing a brand new track, “ yonder”, on her birthday, July 14, across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release by the singer since her single “ドラマチックに乾杯” (“Dramatic ni Kanpai”) in February and will be her second release of 2021. "Yonder" is planned to serve as the song for a commercial for the automobile company  Yamagata Nissan Group, which celebrated its 60th anniversary this year. Composer Mori Zentaro was in charge of arranging the song. The jacket of the single features Yamamoto leaning on a car. The commercial started broadcasting on June 30 and is featured below!
