Misui Brings A Brand New Flow With Upcoming Single!

Five-member Visual kei band Misui announced that they will releasing a brand new single, “汞” (“Mizugane”), July 14. This will be the latest release by the band since “呼吸” (“Kokyu”) in January and will be their third single overall. The up-and-coming band looks to shake up the industry with a three-track total and CD-only standard edition.

yama Brings the meaning of life With Upcoming Album!

Up-and-coming vocalist yama announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, the meaning of life, September 1. This was announced during her Versus The Night 0.0 live concert on June 25, and the album will be the latest release from the artist since her single “Sleepless Night” in June and it will be her first album overall. Currently there is not much information available except that it will drop with a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray.

SHE'S Shines Up the Amulet With Upcoming Album!

Four-member rock band SHE’S announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, Amulet, October 6. This will be the latest album by the band since Tragicomedy back in July of last year and will be their fifth full album overall, used to commemorate SHE'S 10th anniversary and the 5th anniversary of their major debut. The group is looking to make it a memorable one for all of their fans. The album will include 11 songs, including  "追い風" (“Oikaze”), "Spell On Me", and "Take It Easy". Currently there is no additional information about the album except that it will come in two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will feature several music videos along with past live footage.

May J. Brings Out the DRAMA QUEEN in Upcoming Release!

Vocalist May J. announced that she will be releasing a brand new track, “DRAMA QUEEN”, July 14 across all music streaming platforms. May J., who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of her debut this year, is planning to release for four consecutive months with Miru Shinoda of yahyel as the production team in order to convey what she wants to convey as an artist. The third song, "DRAMA QUEEN," features lyrics that express, "Even if you say bad things about people and hit the heroine of the tragedy, nothing will change. Why don't you change yourself first?" Spotify and YouTube Star Alaina Castillo Releases Brand New Collaboration Video with Kizuna AI, Japan’s Top VTuber!

YouTube star Alaina Castillo and VTuber sensation Kizuna AI have released a new collaboration video for their track “down 4 u feat. Kizuna AI”. The video is out now – read on to learn how this special collaboration came to be!

21-year-old Houston-born artist Alaina Castillo has been a YouTube sensation since she launched her channel while still in high school. She later caught the eye of Grammy Award-nominated producer RØMANS, and the pair worked together on numerous singles and EPs from 2019. In 2020, she became the first North American artist to be championed by Spotify’s RADAR series that promotes up-and-coming artists, attracting widespread attention for Castillo even before her 2021 debut album. 

Castillo’s love for Japanese pop-culture has shone through in her image and her videos in the past. In November 2020, the video for her single ‘wishlist’ featured a cameo from Kizuna AI, a hugely popular Japanese VTuber who has over 4.5 million subscribers to her two YouTube accounts. Then in May this year, Castillo appeared as a guest during Kizuna AI’s Virtual US Tour online show, where the two performed together.

Also in May, Castillo and Kizuna AI recorded a version of “down 4 u” from Castillo’s debut album parallel universe pt. 1. Titled “down 4 u feat. Kizuna AI”, this alternate cut was sung in Japanese and English – to the delight of fans around the world, who left comments such as “They overcame the language barrier!” and “Their singing voices are too beautiful!”.

The official video for “down 4 u feat. Kizuna AI” has now been released on Castillo’s YouTube channel. The collaboration video features an appearance from Kizuna AI, who sings in Japanese. It follows Castillo’s video for “pocket locket”, another track from parallel universe pt. 1, which has already exceeded well over 600,000 plays on YouTube.
