LOONA Announces Japanese Debut!

Twelve-member Korean girl group LOONA announced that they will be making their Japanese debut via Universal Music in September. LOONA (Girl of the Month) has a theme of "We meet a new girl every month", and twelve members each made their solo debut from September 2016 onward, after several prior groupings it was completed in August 2018. The group as a whole took about two years to debut with twelve members. With a new strategy not found in previous idol groups, it is attracting attention not only from South Korea but also overseas, including the United States. Details of Japan's debut work will be announced at a later date. To celebrate the debut, LOONA released a special clip featuring popular tracks sung by the girls along with the news that their song “PTT” will be available across all digital streaming platforms.

Ringwanderung Brings A Bit of Synchronism With Upcoming Album!

Up-and-coming five-member idol group Ringwanderung announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, synchronism, August 4. This will be the latest release by the girls since their single “Fall Into Sky” in March and will be their first album overall. The five-girl crew stars Karin Henmi, Yonagi Masuda, Myon, Otono Terao, and Tomoko Sato. “Ringwanderung”, a German word, means “a phenomenon in which one loses one’s sense of direction in a place with poor visibility due to a snowstorm or thick fog, after which one turns around the same place because it is safe.” They took on this naming as a group that goes up step by step without hesitation, no matter what the future has in store for them. synchronism contains a total of 13 songs including the popular live performed tracks “Hello Hello", "Yure ↑ Le ↓ Na →", and "La La", as well as new tunes "夜彩” (“Yasai”) and "Sasaru”. The girls promise that this work is a piece that expresses all of their feelings.

DOBERMAN INFINITY Brings the Summer Feelings Back With Upcoming Double A-side Single!

Five-member rap unit DOBERMAN INFINITY announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “夏化粧 (“Natsu Geshou”) / Updating Life”, August 25. This will be the latest release by the group since their single “konomama” back in June and will be their 12th single overall.

“Natsu Geshou” is a medium tempo ballad that describes the lighting of a woman’s face at the moment her face is illuminated by colorful fireworks. It's a nostalgic song that revives the scents and sounds of summer one suddenly feels from years past. Member KAZUKI was the track’s composer, Adachi Ren was in charge of the strings arrangement, and Shike Udai helped with the arrangement and performance. 

The other A-side track, on the other hand, "Updating Life", is the opening theme of the card game anime Duel Masters King!. The program has been broadcasted since April. In addition, the third song will include a nice song, "真夏のマスマティック” “Manatsu Masmatic", which is a little bewitching. The single will drop with two editions, both of which are CD-only, with one featuring an exclusive jacket cover based on Duel Masters King!

Ai Otsuka Brings A Brand New Question With Latest Release!

Industry legend Ai Otsuka announced that she will be releasing a brand new track, “なんだっけ” (“Nandakke”), June 30 across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release by the vocalist since her EP Chime back in September of 2019, adding to Otsuka’s already impressive discography. She said about this work, "It will be the first new song from me in about two years. I hope that the situation where we can sing together will come as soon as possible so that everyone can sing along to the lyrics. I also hope this track will be able to help to you during these trying times."

Singing Cosplayer Hikari, Covers the opening theme song for "NO GAME NO LIFE", "This game"!

Singing Cosplayer Hikari, has been actively introducing Japanese culture to the world by cosplaying Anime and Vocaloid characters and singing covers of Anime and Vocaloid songs. She will perform the opening theme song of the globally popular Anime, “NO GAME NO LIFE ". Alongside these projects, she has started distributing songs and videos worldwide through iTunes Store, Apple Music, Spotify, etc. On YouTube, you can see the lyrics translated into 12 languages: Japanese (with romanization), Spanish, Thai, Portuguese, Indonesian, English, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Malay, French,Italian and Arabic, as well as the first video using CG synthesis.

In exciting news, Singing Cosplayer Hikari’s video cover of Hatsune Miku's "Yume To Hazakura" which was released on YouTube on April 12, has surpassed 1.5 million views!

Hikari's worldwide music and video distribution started on April 20th. It has been spreading widely,charting on the Apple Music / iTunes J-Pop chart in 23 countries and being currently still ranked No. 1 in 11 countries and regions, including France, Indonesia, Vietnam, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Macau, and the Republic of South Africa.

As a result of this global recognition, she has been invited to perform at HYPER JAPAN ONLINE 2021, the UK's largest Japanese culture festival. Videos of her singing have been on view since July 9th, including her famous "This game," which is filmed with an ocean view from Enoshima, and she wears a Yukata by the kimono brand Furifu.
