Hiromi Go Celebrates in Style With Upcoming Single!

Industry legend Hiromi Go announced that he’ll be releasing a brand new double A-side single August 4. Currently untitled, this release will be used to celebrate his 50th year in the Japanese music industry and will be his monumental 106th single since making his debut back in August of 1972 with the single “男の子女の子” (“Otokonoko Onnanoko”). Not much information about the release is available at the time of reporting except that it will feature two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will contain the music video for the new song along with its making-of video.

Snow Man Says HELLO With Upcoming Single!

Nine-member Johnny’s boys group Snow Man announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “HELLO HELLO”, July 14. This will be the latest release by the group since their single “Grandeur” back in January and will be their fourth single overall. The title song is set to be the theme song for the movie Honey Lemon Soda which stars member Raoul, and the track will be Snow Man's first pop love song. Taking the collaboration to heart, the jacket cover features photos of members dressed in vitamin-colored costumes such as yellow and orange.

The single will come with a two-track total and three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions lovingly called Types A & B. The coupling B-side track will be different among the two limited editions and will come with a bonus DVD which will feature a music video for both tracks on the single. Type A will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the single and Type B will feature a quiz show battle between the members. Not to be left out, the standard edition will include both B-side coupling songs along with an exclusive fourth track called “Hop bounce!!” and will also feature a voice drama track done by the members.

King & Prince Comes Back to Their Senses With Upcoming Album!

Popular five-member Johnny’s boy group King & Prince announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, Re:Sense, July 21. This will be their latest album since L& back in September of last year and will be their third album overall. Included in this work will be previously released singles “I promise”, “Magic Touch”, and “Beating Hearts”, along with the refreshing youth song “僕らのGreat Journey” (“Bokura no Great Journey”) and “Namae Oshiete”, which was recorded in Los Angeles back in 2019. 

The album will include sixteen tracks and three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions, Types A & B. Both limited editions will come with a bonus DVD, with Type A including the music video for “Bokura no Great Journey” along with the making-of for the album overall. Type B will include the music video for “Namae Oshiete” along with a “Dance version” of the video, and also a mini documentary of the group’s time in LA for the track. Not to be left out, the standard edition will come with a bonus seventeenth track exclusive to its edition.

Senri Oe Brings His Letters Back With Upcoming Album!

Industry legend Senri Oe announced that he will be releasing a brand new album, Letter to N.Y., July 21. The album will be his latest since Hmmmm back in September 2019 and will be his seventh original album since he became a jazz pianist. The work will be produced by Oe himself, who currently lives in New York. The idea of the work is centered around his time in the city while suffering from anaphylactic shock due to the COVID-19 vaccination he received. He also commented that he brought it to a music studio and did mixing and mastering work there as well. The jacket artwork was designed by illustrator Masaya Mizukawa. The album will come with eleven tracks total and be available through a CD-only standard edition. What makes this release special is that the formatting of the disk will be on a very special Blu-spec CD 2 which, for audiophiles, will make this one a must-have.

angela Brings Back the Love With Upcoming Single!

Duo angela announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “アンダンテに恋をして!” (“Andante ni Koi wo Shite!”), July 7.  Set as the opening theme song for the anime My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom X, this will be the latest release by the duo since the album Battle & Message back in May and will be their 31st single overall. The single will drop with two editions including a CD-only anime edition which will include special packaging based on the anime, and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray is currently set to include the music video for the track, with more to be announced at a later date.
