NGT48 Brings Awesome Times Back with Upcoming Single!

Popular super idol group NGT48 announced that they will be releasing a brand new single,  “Awesome”, June 23. This will be the latest release by the girls since since their single “Sherbet Pink” back in July of last year and will be their sixth single overall. This is set to be the collaboration song with Niigata's dance festival "Niigata Sodori", which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Haruka Kogoshi, who serves as the center, said, "I will use "Awesome" as an opportunity to grow and make it a work that can be given back to NGT48 and Niigata!"

Like prior 48 releases, the single will come with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions (Types A and B) that will include a bonus DVD. The DVDs will not only include the music video for “Awesome” but a behind-the-scenes making-of as well. Hotaka Yamashita Announces Departure From Ikimonogakari!

Guitarist Hotaka Yamashita announced that he will be leaving the three-member group Ikimonogakari this summer. The group’s last three-person live will be held at the Kanagawa’s Yokohama Arena June 10 and 11. After that, Yamashita will be leaving the group and proceeding on a new path including creative activities such as composition and writing. Ikimonogakari will still continue activities with Yoshiki Mizuno and Kiyoe Yoshioka as a duo.

The three of them came to this decision after many discussions, saying that they had changed their thoughts on several occasions throughout the year, "grazing hiatus or splitting up and becoming independent artist.” Yamashita commented, “As I continued my journey through the twists and turns, I felt that the feelings toward music and the group became slightly different between me and the other two.” To Mizuno and Yoshioka, he said, “I would appreciate it if you could watch over what will be born in the future, with warm eyes on my future project. I’m also looking forward to the progress of the new Ikimonogakari.”

Kroi Looks Through A New Lens With Upcoming Album!

Five-member rock band Kroi announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, LENS, June 23. This will be the latest releasing by the band since their digital single “shift command” back in April and their first major label album since signing with Pony Canyon earlier in the year. The album will come with twelve tracks and two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will include footage from their Release Tour “DUEL” that took place at Shibuya’s WWW live house in Tokyo in March. As a bonus to hype up the release, Kroi also dropped a teaser digest of songs featured on the DVD.

ZOC Excites Fans With Release of Trailer for PvP and More!

Five-member alt idol group ZOC released the trailer for their major label debut album PvP which is set to drop June 9! In the trailer video titled ZOC ‘PvP’ Zenkyoku Tsumamigui♡ TRAILER, you can listen to all the songs in a digest format. This trailer was produced by Seiko Oomori, who also is a member of ZOC. In addition to the release of the trailer for PvP, ZOC also unveiled the music video for their track “CUTTING EDGE” on Nippon Broadcasting System’s Myukomi VR and it will be featured on their upcoming debut album.

BiSH Is Going For Destruction In New Album

Six-member alternative idol group BiSH announced they will be dropping a brand new album titled GOiNG TO DESTRUCTiON which is set to be released August 4. This will be the first album in almost two years since the group released their last album, CARROTS and STiCKS, which dropped in July 2019. The new album will contain “STORY OF DUTY”, “STAR”, “ZENS HiN ZENREi”, and “in case…”, which have already been released, plus ten brand new tracks. GOiNG TO DESTRUCTiON is going to be released in four editions total, including a standard CD-only edition, a CD plus DVD edition, a special edition which will be CD-only, and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray plus a photobook.
