Vocalist May J. announced that starting in May she will be releasing a brand new track for the next four consecutive months across all music streaming platforms. These upcoming releases are to honor her fifteenth year in the Japanese music industry and will serve as Part Two of that celebration after her May J. W BEST 2 album back in January. For these tracks she will be teaming up with Mill Shinoda of the band yahyel as part of the production team in order to convey what she wants to convey as an artist. The first single, "Rebellious", was released on May 12. The single’s title expresses the unwillingness of young people who have reached a rebellious period through the music.

CIVILIAN Brings the Flame With Upcoming Album!

Three-member rock band CIVILIAN announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, 灯命 (Toumei), June 2. This will be the latest release by the band since their album eve back in November of 2017 and will be their second major label album overall. The album exhibits their desire to illuminate the power to live for what they like at any time. This work is set to include a fourteen track total and feature “正解不正解” (”Seikai Fusekai”),  the theme song of the fantasy anime The Misfit of Demon King Academy,  and also anime 魔道祖師 (Mado Soushi)’s  theme songs  “千夜想歌” (“Senya Souka”) and  “導”(“Dou”). To hype up the release even more, “Dou” is currently available across all music streaming platforms. 

Toumei will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will include footage from their fourth anniversary live concert FOUR which took place last July in Tokyo.

SW!CH Brings the Love With Upcoming Single!

Six-member female idol group SW!CH announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “Love Gonna”, June 23. This will be the latest release by the girls since their single “Shiny☆rain” back in August of last year and will be their second single overall. In this work, Sugaya Bros. is in charge of sound production as with their previous songs, with Akiko Noma of rock band GO! GO! 7188 in charge of the lyrics. While their first single “Shiny ☆ rain" was a royal road type of idol song, "Love Gonna" is set to be a catchy disco sound number that shows a new side of the members SW! CH. The choreography, which incorporates a very interesting “Kyun Kyun Dance" by Sako Makita of PASSPO ☆ fame, is also a noteworthy point for the upcoming music video. Currently there is not much known about the release at the time of reporting except that it will come with two tracks.

Akari Kito Brings A New View With Upcoming Mini-album!

Voice actress-turned-vocalist Akari Kito announced that she will be releasing a brand new mini-album, Kaleidoscope, August 4. Famously known as Nezuko Kamado in the popular anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibai, Kito looks to shake up the industry even more with her first mini-album. Not much information was given about the release at the time of reporting but it will come with five tracks and it was commented that it will feature one particular instrument as the lead per track. The mini-album will drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a limited edition which will come with an additional Blu-ray, and an anime edition which is also CD-only. The Blu-ray will include the music video and behind-the-scenes making-of for the lead track “No Continue”.

Kenshi Yonezu Brings A New Shade of Blue With Upcoming Single!

Vocalist Kenshi Yonezu announced that he will be releasing a brand new single, “Pale Blue”, June 16. This will be the vocalist’s latest release since his very popular album STRAY SHEEP back in August of last year and will be his eleventh single overall. With this track currently being used as the theme song for the romance drama RicoKatsu, Yonezu looks to shake up the music industry once again with his unique style. The single is set for release with three tracks and will include news show news zero’s new theme song “ゆめうつつ” (“Yumeutsutsu”) and the track “死神” (“Shinigami”). It will also come with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions lovingly called Puzzle edition and Ribbon edition. Puzzle edition will only come with special packaging and will be CD-only while Ribbon edition will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will include several music videos from previous releases along with footage from Kenshi’s FORTNITE concert event STRAY SHEEP in FORTNITE which took place last year.
