MindaRyn Brings the Flames with Upcoming Single!

MindaRyn is a Thai anisong singer who gained popularity through her anisong cover videos, and her YouTube channel has over 900,000 subscribers. She made her long-awaited debut as an anisong singer in Japan on November 18 last year with “BLUE ROSE knows,” the ending theme of By the Grace of the Gods. Now, MindaRyn is planning to release her second single “Like Flames” on August 25, 2021!

“Like Flames” is a fast-paced rock song written and composed by Sachiko, the vocalist and guitarist of the girl’s rock band FliP. It will be used as the second opening theme song for season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other TV stations from July 6, 2021 at 23:00 every Tuesday.

The coupling tracks are “You and I,” a new song written by Misaki from the rock band SpecialThanks, and Little Soldier (English Version), a translated cover of the second ending theme song of season 1 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Haku Stands Strong In New Music Video

Four-member girl rock band Haku released their latest single, “Watashi”, on all digital platforms. Haku is a band that won the Grand Prix in the Teen White Paper 2021 project which is designed to discover teenage talent. “Watashi” is the group’s third song overall, with “Blue Girl” being their first song and “Honmono” being their second. All of their songs have been released on Apple Music. Be sure to check out the music video for “Watashi” in the video below.

Tokyo Jihen Brings the Music to Rock Day in Upcoming Album!

Popular rock band Tokyo Jihen announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, 音楽 (Ongaku), June 9, the unofficial “Rock Day”. This will be the latest album release by the infamous band since 大発見 (Daihakken) back in June 2011 and will be their first album since coming back from their hiatus in 2020. The album is set to drop with thirteen tracks and will include "赤の同盟" (“Aka no Domei”), “命の帳" (“Inoch no Tobari”), and “緑酒” (“Ryokushu”). It will also drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a two-disc limited edition. The second disc will include the single for the track “Aka no Domei” which will be released with three songs. Lovingly called the Maki Single, it will also include a postcard and oversized packaging for the release—a must-get for fans.

The dresscodes Drops New Piano Album

Four-member rock band The dresscodes has announced they will be dropping a brand new album titled Beyer which is set to be released June 16. The new album consists entirely of instrumental songs by piano. The lead vocalist, Ryohei Shima, explained that the new album would be a “growth” album. Beyer is being released in two editions: a standard edition which will come with a CD plus Blu-ray and a limited edition which will come with two extra CDs. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with their song “Comic Generation” which everyone should check out.

Yu Tokiwa Stands With the Wind With Upcoming Solo Album!

Vocalist Yu Tokiwa announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, 風のガーランド (Kaze no Garland), June 2. She is famously known from the band risotte. The news comes on the heels of her latest digital track “むげんの夏” (“Mugen no Natsu”). This album will be the vocalist’s first solo album which will be released with eleven tracks total. It will include previously released digital singles “江ノ島-鎌倉” (“Enoshima- Kamakura”) and “往復書簡” (”Ofuku Shokan”) and will feature a bevy of support members: Za Ninngenn’s Rio Shimokaw, Sota Natsume, and Abemakoto; Hidaka Toru of THE STARBEMS; Arishima Koleske from arko lemming; Shinozaki Okawa of THE Dakishimeruzu; Matsuishi Gel from The Syrup; Hiraima Saya of Margaret Drawers fame; and Hatch Hatchell. The album will only come with a CD-only standard release and looks to kick off Tokiwa’s amazing career even more.
