NMB48 Looks to Send Off Miru Shiroma in A Big Way With Upcoming Single!

Popular mega-idol super-group NMB48 announced that they will be releasing a brand new single June 16. Currently untitled at the time of reporting, this will be the latest release by the group since their single “恋なんかNo thank you!” (“Koi Nanka No thank you!”) back in November of last year and will be their 25th single overall. This work is the last single for Miru Shiroma, who has been leading the group for ten years as their last first gen member. Shiroma acts as the center of the title song and Akari Ishizuka, a third generation member, will be participating in the main Senbatsu as well. Unfortunately there is not much information at the time of reporting but, like previous releases in the 48 system, the single will come with three editions. These will be titled Types A-C and they will come with a bonus DVD.

Moka Sato Brings Her Love With Latest Release!

To hype up a major upcoming release, vocalist Moka Sato announced that she will be releasing her track “Love Buds” across all music streaming platforms. The track is set for release physically May 26. Sato signed with Universal Music Japan’s sublabel EMI Records and looks to make a splash with this debut. "Love Buds" is a love song with a message of support for thosetrying to move forward from a former love. It was arranged by Mori Zentaro, who works with the likes of SIRUP and iri. In addition, the single will also include "Destruction" and “いちごちゃん” (“Ichigo Chan”) as its coupling songs. The single will only come with one edition; this will include a bonus DVD. The DVD will include footage from Sato’s Sugar Science Station concert along with a making-of documentary.

Koichi Domoto Brings Playful Side With Upcoming Album!

Vocalist Koichi Domoto of the popular Johnny’s boy group KinKi Kids announced that he will be releasing a brand new solo album, PLAYFUL, June 2. This will be his latest solo album since Spiral back in July 2016 and it will be his fifth solo album overall. Domoto commented about the work, labeling it as an "entertainment album" packed with playful music and images. It features many games that are supported worldwide, including the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series in collaboration with Square Enix, which has produced the album.

The album will come with twelve tracks total and drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions simply called Type A and B. The limiteds will include a bonus DVD/ Blu-ray. The Type A release will include a short movie and making-of for the track “V” while Type B will include clips from the song “Tik Tik Tik” along with an interview. Not to be outdone, the standard edition will include a bonus thirteenth track.

Sekai No Owari Remember Scents In New Album

Four-member pop band Sekai No Owari announced they will be dropping their sixth album, titled Scent Of Memory, which is set to be released July 7. The new album will contain a total of twelve songs, its full track list yet to be revealed, but it will include their track “Birdman” which is being used for the weekday morning show Mezamashi 8. Their song “silent” is also being used as the theme song for the romance drama Kono Koi Atatamemasuka. Scent Of Memory is being released in two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus CD and DVD. Official HIGEDANdism Brings Upcoming Track Across All Streaming Platforms!

“Cry Baby” Digital Jacket Cover

Popular four-member rock band Official HIGEDANdism announced that they will be releasing their track “Cry Baby” across all music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release by the band since “Universe” back in February and will be their second release of 2021. "Cry Baby" is a song written as the opening theme song of the anime Tokyo Revengers. The track will be aired for the first time in full size on the radio show FM802 LANTERN JAM TIMES, where Official Hige Dandism has been in charge of DJing for one year.
